Depending 'where' the popular comes from right? KPOP was already popular in Asian countries, back when DBSK, SUJU, SNSD, BB and the likes ruled them. All the while JYP is breaking their back trying to enter the US market with WG (poor them honestly). KPOPs started touring in the States and got some niche fans. Not widely known, but it is still slowly building up from there. Psy really gave USA a huge nudge in 2012 and say "hey look, funny guy dancing, its some 'KPOP' genre". Then came in the 3rd gen and it really took off from there.

KPOP was always there. People discovered KPOP depends on the timeline and group(s) they stan. For them, at that moment in time, KPOP becomes 'popular'.

I too am a fake ass bitch

Lol. You talk as if MMM doesn't have bad vocals and encores

It's a marketing strategy that almost all entertainment company uses. They do that for western artists too. Just think of it as Youtube ads or Google search placement. If you want your company to be placed first during search engine, you pay a premium to Google and so when someone searches 'Apple', your company will be listed first. If you pay less, then you'll probably be on page 2 of Google, which is the stuff in legends and fairy tales, because no one has seen page 2 of Google.

It's easy to combat this, just create your own playlist. Even if you turn on smart shuffle within your playlist- only similar songs or groups that you had listened to will be recommended.

    :iconpepe:

It essentially marketing for the new media outlet. Why? The more they release, the more company will consider giving them money to not release and protect their artists. Unless companies nowadays does not care anymore, and so it will keep getting release.

If you're new in the market, you gotta be loud and get 'sponsors'.

Ah.. there are some things that just won't change. 15 years ago vs now, new fans, same mentality. Would those fans from 15 years ago look back and reflect at the relationship(s) they helped destroyed? Probably not, it is like an activity to help them pass time. In fact, they probably wouldn't remember what they have commented.

Bet when they see the artist they be yelling 'I'll support you no matter what!'.

Another one where she was singing with her CEO or senior Lol. People said this was refreshing because she was singing in the perspective of a lover. The song was originally only sing in as a solo, but since she's also singing it-it seems like a reply back to the old lover as it say 'Yes I am happy with my new lover'.

The first song I heard from her was 'Is Who' and thought that it was freaking amazing? The instruments were really good and the style of song was unique.

    1. If a copy is better than the original, then everyone will diss the original

    2. If the original is better than the copy, then everyone will say nothing is better than the original

    3. Im not saying who is copy of who, but that's the nature of how it is being viewed and will be interpreted given the trend of things

    4. Each group, whoever it may be, only wants to be the 'first' to do it- whatever that may be- and take credit, well, in this case its more of the stans who wants the credit. As we all know, no matter how much stan fight, idols are lovely to each other on a personal level.

Im not a fan of either group so I think Im pretty unbiased about it.

These came up alot back then; Twice and SNSD, 2ne1 and BP. It's definitely normal to be compared to previous groups. Because there is no originality in KPOP. Each group needs to be consists of something of their predecessors and you will find similarities if you look hard enough, or the similarities will find you if that's all you are looking for.

Apple iphone branding sells really well, why the hell would they opt in for another maker and innovation? Same with KPOP.
