Enhypen: Heeseung is the strongest cuz right now , he is only who were able to showcase his vocal process through his cover ( recorded live) & guesting LMJ service ( raw vocal, sang live). He is a stylistic vocalist & love the tone of his voice. He sounds like abnangel in” Off My Face” cover( imo, the best cover of that song) & in LMJ service guesting proved his versatility. He can also do rock songs & blockbuster/Attn pls their own songs they sang in concerts are proofs of that . Perhaps, in time other members can have opportunity to showcase their vocal skills so cant judge who is the next strongest or weakest among them.

I think in most of these cases that may not be what they are there for, which is why it’s easy to note they’re not as strong on vocals. They are there for rap abilities or dance abilities, interview/variety abilities, languages or the visual. And in some of these groups, it’s about who they’re in a group with: some of them would be fine vocalists in a different group but they are in a group stacked with vocal thunder so..

Oh yeah, for sure. Every idol trains in vocals but not every idol is a vocalist. Just like not every idol is a dancer or a rapper.

I see people saying Momo for Twice and I would agree. When JYP brought her back and added her to the final lineup after eliminating her from the series, he felt that she would be a great addition to the group because she has the strength, charisma, and power in dancing that the other members don't necessarily have. She's gotten criticism for her singing in the past from those who didn't want her to be in the group during their survival show to those bitter "fans" and those who are not with some going as far as to say she's "talentless" but she adds that important asset in dancing that no other member really delivers. She's now recognized as one of the top KPOP gg dancers depending on who you're talking to

Exactly! It's the same reason I wouldn't pick on Taeil for not being a great dancer. Like that's not what he's there for. (Although he's surprisingly solid for someone where that's not his wheelhouse because NCT choreo is damned hard..)

From what I 've heard from their live singing, then yes. Soyeon is hampered by her nasal voice, which she also exaggerates stylistically, but she has much more of the basics down than the others in her group. If she'd work on dropping her nasality, I could see her becoming quite a decent singer. Yuqi strains less than Miyeon and doesn't struggle as much as Minnie with staying in tune.
