I. INTRODUCTION

Kim Jun-myeon, better known by his stage name Suho, is a singer and songwriter under SM Entertainment. He is the leader and the lead vocalist of the kpop group EXO and its sub-unit EXO-K.

Suho joined SM Entertainment as a trainee at the age of 16 after being discovered on the streets by an SM casting manager in 2006.

In addition to being an esteemed musical theater actor, Suho has also appeared in numerous dramas and movies and was a regular host for SBS's weekly show Inkigayo.

II. CAREER

1. DEBUT WITH EXO AND EXO-K

Suho was introduced as the tenth member of EXO in February 2012 and debuted with the group's first EP MAMA in April 2012.

2. SOLO DEBUT

Suho made his solo debut with his first EP called Self-Portrait, becoming the fourth member of EXO to have successfully debuted as a solo artist. The album was released on March 30th, 2020 with the lead single "Let's Love."

• Suho sold over 290,000 copies of the album in South Korea alone.
• Self-Portrait achieved Gaon Album Chart no. 1.
• Self-Portait peaked at no. 13 on the US World Albums chart.
• It topped over 50 countries' Itunes charts.

3. MUSICAL THEATER ACTOR

From July to August 2018, Suho starred in the musical The Man Who Laughs that is based on a Victor Hugo's novel under the same title. Suho took on the role of the male lead, Gwynplaine - a young man disfigured with a permanent grin.

Suho received standing ovation and positive feedback for his performance on the musical's opening night.

4. SECOND EP

After completing his mandatory military service in February 2022, Suho released his second EP, Grey Suit, just two months later on April 4, 2022 with the lead single "Grey Suit." He performed the song and the b-side "Hurdle" during promotions on Korean music shows and at concerts and festivals throughout the year.

• The album debuted at #1 on the Hanteo Daily Album Chart with 93,304 album sales.
• "Grey Suit" debuted at #2 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart.
• It received Double Golden Certification on QQ Music with 32,000 digital copies sold.
• It sold 211,107 copies in South Korea alone as of November 2022.

• Suho had the longest training period of 7 years in EXO.
• His representative emoji is a bunny 🐰.
• He has a dog named Byul. They appeared together in the photoshoot for W Korea Magazine in 2016.

• Suho is known for his great fashion sense and the ability to match his outfits with the background.

• On May 14th 2020, he enlisted for his mandatory military service as a public service officer. He was discharged on February 13th, 2022.
