I don't think Viviz can perform Gfriend songs. They probably don't have the rights to them anymore.
And Kep1er have six songs. They debuted with a whole mini-album.
They have 2 songs. Their mini-album was a SNOOZE and they should be sent to JAIL for even releasing it. I refuse to acknowledge the other songs as they do not deserve praise at ALL. SO Vivaz is just as useless as Kep1er, GREAT!

I didnt watch Queendom season 1, so im unfamiliar if they did or didn't, but ik that all these groups have good vocals so that shouldn't be much of an issue if they get the chance to showcase it
ViViz is under another company and they should Promote themselves as ViVi'z and they dont have much of a discography and since theya rent G-Friend anymore, they need to have permissions from HYBE in order to perform them, but the chances are slim to none
Im very mixed With Kep1er, is it unfair that they are on the Show, yes, will it be a big issue on what to perform since they have a small discography, yes. However, you can't blaming the girls for being on there since its all of M-nets doing ( i personally think that Dream catcher should have been on here)
Brave Girls from what i know is a 2nd gen group, so idk how big their fanbase is currently, but this is their chance to prove how much they have, ik dancing isnt their strong suit, they could prove us all wrong and i think they have a fair chance
WJSN deserves to be on here, i am also not familiar with them but i do know they have a domestic fanbase and not as big of an international fanbase (i think, someone correct me if I'm wrong) Like loona they will be missing round one so it may put avery rocky start but nonethe less give some sort of altercations for when they are able to primer on the show

I thought you're reasoning would be because of COVID and not this, also Queendom was never about competition or winning it's about showcasing each group ability to perform on stage and there was no drama in the first seasons of Queendom and kingdom , also people also thought that the first season line up was shit and how groups like g-idle and Mamamoo didn't need the show but it that show was what propulsed Omg career and it made gidle a top group so yeah if you don't want to watch to show the answer is easy turn your eyes and don't watch and don't ruin the fun for people who are looking forward to it
It's a very gray area. (G)I-DLE did Fire because they were covering "Park Bom"'s song and chose one from 2NE1's discography. It's possible they got implicit permission to go 2NE1 songs if Park Bom was involved in the show.
If Viviz does a cover of a Gfriend song, they won't be doing a cover of anyone that's on the show. So the permissions to do so may be different.
It's possible that another group could cover a Gfriend song if they're swapping songs with Viviz, but it could get much messier if Viviz perform a Gfriend song.
I'm not sure what all the legal ramifications would be.
I'm excited to see Loona, they deserve more Korean popularity. I'm curious about Kepler, are they gonna be ready? I dont think BG, Viviz or WJSN need the show, they already do enough in either digital or physical sales to remain viable. I woulda replaced them with groups that both need and deserve the attention like Cherry Bullet, Everglow, Rocket Punch, etc.

AFAIK you need to get at least a win in a show to be able to be called so the last ones you mentioned (I think Everglow has a win?) are very hard to get in at this moment. I think there is "Road to Queendom" for groups that still don't have a win.
For anyone who thinks Viviz can't do GFriend songs I think you need to watch the 1st episode of Queendom. I see lots of other groups doing covers without any issues.

Now to make a cover you just need to notify the author and maybe pay royalties, the author of half or more songs of Gfriend is Iggy the producer who worked for VIVIZ in BOP BOP!. Although the spoilers also includes a song that is not Iggy so there are no problems with the other songs either.

I dont think she is above anyone else im just excited to see her the most of of the lineup. Also with how the show treated Bom i dont see her getting a passive boost either
How the end result of this show is def gonna diver from one idol/ singer with another (same case for every survival show. Who thought Yena gonna be more succesul soloist than sakura for example? Or Chungha than Sejeong? See my point?). But the essence of this program is to boost those idols who aren't that successful (that's why back then there was an uproar of why g idle, and even mamamoo were included cause they pretty much have quite thriving careers). Bom ad her company had the same spirit when joining queendom season 1, but for some reason they couldnt use it t propell Bom's solo. Meanwhile we saw a great growth for oh my girl for example.
