They're not even my 5th favorite sm group, but I'm always mind blown by n c ts discography. Sticker, the 7th sense, make a wish, even firetruck are genuine masterpieces. Imo it transcends k-pop. Just genuinely good songs. I know not everyone agrees, but art is supposed to be divisive anyway.
Bias groups aside, which k-pop group have the most impressive discography in your opinion

well ur completely right about nct
some people get their music, some dont
but for me, red velvet, blackpink, and purple kiss have some seriously good songs and theyre all groups i dont stan

I thought sticker was an atrocity when I first time listened to it. And the second, and the third. But once I understood the structure and it got stuck in my mind, I became obsessed with it. It takes a certain level of genius to create a catchy masterpiece with that jarring flute sound.
Most sm songs are great surprises, but I totally understand why nct in particular is the one people either love or hate. But even their less divisive songs are great, the 7th sense being the prime example. Easily one of the best k-pop songs ever made.

Easily Red Velvet

Red Velvet and BTS

i get what u mean
i didnt like nct's music at first, especially their bsides, but i found a few gems and i started getting a hang of their songs. their music is fire, but only once you get start to understand it. it was simply too confusing for me at first and i didnt know what i was listening to, but now theyre the only bg i volunteer to listen to regularly

oh yeah and the nct members' solo songs are really good

Red Velvet in Kpop, but in general, MAMAMOO! I never thought they're an actual Kpop group, I don't think they ever released a typical Kpop song. The most versatile discography by a Kpop group, for sure.
You can argue, it's not the best for everyone, but that's the reason they never released the same music. For the average Kpop fan, their discography isn't the best if you don't like multiple genres. For me, they're the best, because they're making music for everyone. Don't have any limitations.
Probably the only girl group that doesn't have a concept, they're the genre, as people used to say that about them.

I would say f(x) (unbiased) I didn't pick red velvet because there are some songs that I don't like (esp for their red concepts) and well if I'm biased Blackpink ( minus 2 songs) lol

Underrated bg. I Love stop stop it,I like you, never ever and if you do. Iyd and just right were the songs responsible for making me fall into the k-pop hole because of how catchy it was.

But aren't you a moomoo ❓

But aren't you a moomoo ❓
I'm also a SONE, a Reveluv, a Neverland, a VIP, a Blackjack, and so on. What this has to do with anything? I'm not biased. You asked which kpop group have the most impressive discography, and I told you why Mamamoo is on top. There's not a lot of Kpop group that released songs in almost every genre, except Metal.😂 If that's not impressive, I don't know what is.
This is my list of faves, btw, so as you can see, I listened to a LOT of Kpop songs. Soloists not included except 2!

-
damn I thought it was a pretty easy question... I mean which k-pop group you couldn't care less about but find their discography a masterpiece ❓ isn't it obvious that you'll pick your faves if I ask to include your bias groups ❓ like if you don't fw other groups music that aren't your faves just say so

This is my list of faves
If you indeed have 56 favourites, then the word becomes a bit meaningless, don't you think?
-
-
I don't know anything about Enhypen, but from what I've heard they have a strong discography.
-
Outside of my biases the only discographies I consider "no skip" are NewJeans and RV.
Some groups have albums or EPs that I would consider 10/10 masterpieces like
- Rocket Punch - Red Punch
But I don't enjoy some of their other releases so it's not really a no skip discography.
I don't think a discography is good unless there is at least one album/EP that I always listen to from start to finish and also go back to even years later.
-
Red velvet and f(x)
i can't think of any other group who have a discography who left me as mind blow than them
-

NCT have some of the best banger in kpop
They really are the best to make music that hype you
Firetruck
Kick it
SuperHuman
Punch
2baddies
Walk
Limitless
etc.....
People who don't like this music never put the volume max and listen to this song
cuz i swear you can't listen to this song at max volume and don't feel hype for the entire week
-
BTS overall, the love yourself and most beautiful moment in life series/trilogy cooks anything else in kpop for me, for ggs i'll have to say Red velvet
-
If you indeed have 56 favourites, then the word becomes a bit meaningless, don't you think?
WHAT? What are you even talking about? What I'm saying has more meaning actually, because I don't follow just 1 artist or a group.
How can anyone say: "XYZ group has the best discography." if they only listen to 1 or a couple of artists, meanwhile they never heard anything from others? My list only contains my faves, I didn't mention the ones I heard, but not my faves! Listening to music is not just my hobby it's my job as well!

It sounds to me that you have 56 artists that you particularly like, but your true "favourite" would be an artist like Mamamoo. All I'm saying is that when you use the word too loosely, it lessens its consequence.
-
My biggest faves are SNSD, Mamamoo, 2NE1, Red Velvet, Apink, Bigbang, Btob, Davichi, IU and BoA. This is my TOP10, basically, not in order! I didn't choose Mamamoo, because I love them. I choose them, because there's no other Kpop group that has a versatile discography like them.
There's not a single Kpop group (boy or girl) who dared to release a full-on ballad album till this day or debuted with a Jazz album.
That's why I said, for an Idol group: It's Red Velvet, or F(x)
For Korean Pop music in general: it's Mamamoo
Mamamoo are true artists, not only my words, it was said by other Idols, and the industry as well. They're in their own league. I'm not saying this to shade others, btw. It's just they're not your typical Kpop group. Like I said. "MAMAMOO is the genre!"

K-pop stans are really a different breed lmaooo

Quality over quantity. That’s still a discography to me.
-
If I keep to girlgroups, I would say Girls' Generation and Twice. But it's hard not to biased because you would not like a group if you don't like their songs.....
A lot of people say Red Velvet, I feel them are a bit overrated when it comes to the songs, few really good songs.
