- a new kpop global hit, last year it was cupid, this year magnetic, it seems like the pattern is cute song +girl group

- new jeans big redebut with all members, don't know if with the same name but I predict it'll be like a big big event in kpop

- one 3rd generation idol will go public with their relationship

- not really a prediction but bts world tour, and i'm really curious to see what musical direction the group will take from now on since all the members were able to work on their solo careers

1. LE SSERAFIM taking the k-pop industry by storm with another hit song.

2. NewJeans re-debut (hopefully away from both HYBE and MHJ).

3. MEOVV dominating 5th gen.

I might predict more but who knows.

I like a lot of these. The NJ X Grammy Winning Producer have their full album come out in spring followed by a great summer tour.

BTS are the surprise headliner at LOLLAPALUZZA in August in Chicago 2025.

• JYP finally gives more love and attention to BOYSTORY
• NCT WISH and NEXZ arn't dropping any Korean songs in 2025 since bruh JYP and SM debuted them as JPop acts, not as KPop groups with Japanese members, so pls give them more Japanese music!
• VIXX officialy disbands, cause at this point its ridiculous with the state of the group
• Block B said they might return next year and I hope they fucking do or else KQ needs to finally for once get their shit together and disband them officialy
• YG also ows us an official statement on where the fuck WINNER went gone, cause Jinu apparently had left a few months ago and nothing was ever actually said and IDK whats with the other members, but YG never said if WINNER disbanded or what else happend to them. So they need to finally explain shit
• SM's British group flops hardcore
• THE BOYZ is leaving IST Entertainment this year and so they hopefully continue with a new company next year

it makes sense but stil... I didn't follow them closely but I always thought they were very well together as a group and very talented, still listen to their songs to this day.

Curently, kpop loss their popularity in Thailand and Philippines. So, less stream and less sale for all kpop group.

The top 5th gen gg will be decided with the re debut of a certain group.

1. NewJeans will try to leave the company, possibly debuting with a new agency by the end of the year.

2. The popularity of HYBE groups in Korea will decline. It is unlikely that 2025 will be a good year for them, after all, the internal report harms not only HYBE, but also the artists.

3. Babymonster is getting ready to shoot in 2025, suddenly DRIP was very good.

4. I don’t think that Aespa will be the leader for 2 years in a row, most likely there will be someone new who will take the crown in 2025.

Red Velvet will have one member out from the group permanently

MAMAMOO will have a full group comeback but fails to enter top 50 melon real time chart

I don't know about Thailand but as someone from Philippines, I wouldn't say kpop loss a lot of popularity in my country since a lot of kpop acts are doing stadium or doing the Philippine Arena but we're also starting to have our own groups such as Bini, SB19, etc.

I think 2025 will be a bit of decline for a lot of the current popular groups or the peak and at the second half 2025 maybe something new will come. If SME debut their new GG they are in poleposition to take the lead. But in general I think it will be pretty much "more of the same" and uneventful, if we don't include the NJ mess in all this. So, probably very similiar to 2024 but a bit stagnated.

It's something I have predicited and said a couple of years ago, that contries like Philippines, Thailand and you could add China to that, would improve and develop their own entertainment and Idol industry so they get closer to the kpop/kdrama standard and that would diminished the popularity of kpop in these contries. At the end of they day it's not strange if they have groups from their own contries as idols instead of korean idols.

Kiss of Life also just announced a tour from October til December this year with "more to be announced soon". So I hope for more international dates for early next year. Europe please!!

Okay, my actual predictions: (some of them being a bit silly)

• Seonghwa will do another LEGO live in Copenhagen.
• ATEEZ are going to be a bit "Valentine's-like" in the Copenhagen concert. (because of the date of the concert)
• I had a dream last night that ATEEZ's next comeback was going to have a choreography involving handstands, but that might not actually happen lol. Maybe their choreography is going to make people say "Wow!".
• An ATEEZ member is going to star in a kdrama.
• BEWAVE is going to become more popular.
• Evermore Entertainment will finally debut Evermore Muse.
• A kpop group or solo artist collaborates with a Nordic artist.
• I might end up adding another group to my stan list next year.

The landscape definitely changed this year as we have found our own nation's girl group.

For kpop, the most popular groups in my country are still 3rd gen. Next year will be interesting.

for winner Mino and Seungyoon have not finished their military service and the group does not intend to disband .

For more information next month Mino and Seungyoon will be back and next year the group will have a comeback.
