Why has no girl group managed to touch Twice in Japan yet?

I meant Kpop. Niziu is J-pop with a K-pop sound.

Well I thought they was like XG and they sit on the line ya know? fully Japanese from a K company.
But that's just how I thought about it
Another example is people call Rolling Quartz a Kpop group but they are more a Kband but still classed as a Kpop group or at least mentioned in the same vain

4th gen leaders literally just debuted like 8 months ago or so. Twice was taking over Japan a few months after debut either.
-
Honestly Kara was there till their company decided to sabotage everything out of spite
Kara were pretty big in Japan right? What happened?
-
The Japanese public still likes Twice.

So really only Billlie, Le Seraphim, Cherry Bullet, Kepler, ILT:1, Pink Fantasy,
Anymore?

Japan just loves Twice

They dont do as impressive as their first year anymore

There are plenty of 4th gen groups with Japanese members though. Other companies and JYPE take notes from Twice

Digital wise they chilled out, physicals GGs took a massive hit due to covid/streaming transition.
there strength has been they are more famous as like reality TV/group then a pure kpop GG afaik, GP they are more well known then twice/casual fans, reason for the CFs and insane ticket sales

mmm I wouldn't say that, IZONE definitely gave TWICE a run for their money there during their run.
I think it does help though that they were one of the few groups during their gen that actually gave the market importance, from including Japanese members to regularly releasing original Japanese music that wouldn't sound out of place in a JPOP groups discography. BP just releases Japanese versions of Korean songs which does nothing to help grow a fanbase & RV were with Avex and were doomed from the start.
Both LSFM and IVE show potential of blowing up but they just debuted and have yet to debut in Japan there. But yeah atp TWICE has surpassed every KPOP GG there and are up there with the likes of TVXQ now.

Does the quantity of the members really matter? Twice is a 9 members group so of course they would have more

The Hallyu wave is dead in Japan. It's was pretty dead during Twice's time too in comparison to 2nd gen so Twice being as successful as they are is all the more impressive
Twice and IZ*One, the only real competitor Twice had in Japan, benefitted a lot from being the first kpop groups to really shake things up. Twice, while not the first gg to have a Japanese member, was the first to have actual Jline, which made them stand out a lot and appeal more. IZ*One being from a collaborative effort between Produce and AKB + having Sakura worked greatly to their benefit. Plus honestly they understood the assignment when it came to jpop music.
Now Jlines are somewhat normalized and Japan having it's own Produce means newer groups are gonna have to work harder.

Just like how no kpop GG is able to touch BP on international ground. There is no answer to it.
This is a combined result of many factors over the years. Sooner or later, a newer group WILL BE ABLE to overtake both of them in Japan and Intertional
Edit: some of the factors i think contributed to Twice's dominance in Japan
1) A proper J-line (>2 members)
2) The cutesy concept at the start
3) Heavy focus and promotion in Japan. Remember they were alternating Korean and Japanese comeback in first few years which resulted in them being overworked. But the effect is the strategy did wonders for them

I can tell you what it is not... its not because there are Japanese members.
People put unrealistic emphasizing on nationality.
This is music... if we're talking sales and streams, aint nobody going to spend their hard earned money buying albums from a group they don't like or waste 3 minutes of their lives to stream a song they don't like just for the sake if national pride.
I'm Chinese and I can tell you I won't stan a group just because there's a Chinese member and I certainly won't buy an album or stream a song for the same reason. If I'm going to spend my hard earned bucks and my the limited amount of time I have, I better like
the group for reasons other than nationality.
Let's also not forget that Nayeons Pop! peaked higher and it's currently doing better than Celebrate. TTT is also doing better and peaked higher than Celebrate, their Japanese track.

I didn't know there were Onces that denied Jlines impact this much
Foreign members bring in foreign fans, that's just a fact. I don't really understand why Onces fight against it so hard when it's not a bad thing. EXO and Super Junior benefitted from having EXO-M and Super Junior-M, Blackpink benefits from Lisa, Idle from Shuhua and Yuqi etc.
On a much more simple basis, in an industry where parasocial fan engagement is key to have a lineup that appeals to as many different fans as possible? Fans want to have similarities to their idols and similarities in culture/language that wouldn't normally be there are huge bonuses. It could make a foreign fan who wouldn't be normally be into kpop reconsider, get into the group and wind up a fan of all of them. My first ever group I fell in love with was Soshi and Jeti were the main ones that made stanning SNSD possible. The more I got into it, my favorite members changed pretty drastically. Even now my favorite idols are usually the Americans or English speakers of the group.
I don't think it's a bad thing nor does it lesson Twice's achievements in anyway. Of course thrice will say "they're only popular because they have Japanese members" which is objectively untrue but it is an undeniable huge advantage. It got eyes on them but it doesn't change the fact that Twice had to work their asses off to keep them there. Twice literally changed the game and paved the way for Japanese idols in kpop so much so that FNC modelled Cherry Bullet (OG 7K3J1T) after Twice, that's amazing if you ask me
