i admit i usually mention TXT or SKZ as the leader of 4th gen
but The boyz are doing really great
i just think that Kpop fans usually mention TXT or SKZ
and leave the boyz out of the discussion because 4th gen BG doesn't chart very great
so fans focus more on their sales to choose the leader

tbz sold 390K with their comeback which happened 11 months ago..
cant compare sales with txt cause they just had a comeback last month and for both tbz and skz its been mostly a year since they last released albums.. we can now only compare sales when both comeback
the difference in sales last year wasnt much tbh as people would like to believe, tbz actually sold really well
They are doing good. But txt are generally considered 4th gen leaders because they are more popular in the west. It is well known that you do well in USA (billboard), the world will start to notice you. Sadly, that's just how it is.
Especially their billboard 200 peak is only behind BTS and BP which is absurd.

But literally looking at these digitals and physical sales how tbz are literally not even mentioned in discussions what irks me...
I dont have any problem in people claiming txt or skz are more popular or whatever, the fact that their name isn't even considered even though they are doing almost just as good in most criterias is what gets annoying

it isn't just "4th gen BG" it's every BG except BTS
tbz havent made a comeback in 1 1 months while both txt comebacks which charted on 24 hits were released afterwards their last comeback...

I think its cause tbz don't have alot of international fans/attention which is why they often get left out. But they gained some from Kingdom from what I've seen and looking at their sales and charting it would be a big mistake to not consider them in 4th gen BG rankings (expecting a nice increase in next comeback numbers). Sadly the thing is, neither TBZ or TXT have korean digitals worth writing home about and since SVT and NCT also struggle with digitals despite their huge sales the future is bleak for korean charting for BGs.

I think they currently have the biggest domestic fandom in the generation (or, at least, on par with txt).
KINGDOM songs aren't a good standard to judge a group's real potential on domestic charts. As far as I know, every group after Queendom and RTK did much better with their next comebacks digitally than with the final song.
And they already pperformed amazingly with 'Kingdom Come'. So I'm looking foward what they can do.

I specially noticed it during The Stealer cb, it had strong exo vibes. they worked with an SM producer for that, right?
but kfans also mention the SM vibes about their visuals, many of the members fit into the "flower boy" or "classical handsome" standards that SM have, and that appeals a lot to them.
imo that's one of the reasons they could have one of the strongest kfanbases of 4th gen

Also their choreography and stage directtor is mihwak who is known for a lot of SM choreos especially EXO and NCT
Exactly I am so excited for the comeback, I hope it performs good and gains them more recognition
They also peaked #5 like nct 127 and Mx but i think their's is more impressive considering bb changed the rules recently.

To be honest, I don't like to concentrate on the 'competitive' side of kpop, for example, comparing success of 4th gen groups and who's doing better atwhat area etc.
I just kind of concentrate on my faves and wantthem to be successful, because they deserve it, they are talented in every area and great as people. And they have excellent music.
But that doesn't mean I don't support other group, I listen to new music when it comes out and wish all well for everyone, I just don't have the time or energy to follow closely a lot of artists, so I just do that with the ones I likethe most.
What I'm trying to say, all the treads about who's the leader of what generation doesn't make any sense to me, nor would I be able to claim something, I can not know, following closely just one group of the generation.
It also creates unnecessary fanwars and fighting and shifts the attention to the competitive side of kpop, while I think it's better to enjoy the music and content, while supporting and hyping up your faves :D
