i never expected them to be a top GG like everybody made it seems during their predebut
but Loona have all it needs to become a top mid-tier GG but with the way BBC is promoting them, by not giving them any variety show as a group often or reality show
making them comeback one time each year
they'll never be able to build a fanbase as fast than GG who comeback often like dreamcatcher etc...
They are doing pretty good but a lot of people, including myself, expected them to do better. I still like them and their music though
I thought we all knew that even before they debuted
I started to fully stan them during Why Not, which is 3 years after their debut
and everytime i was looking to learn more about the girls to be sure that i'll stan them completely
all the content which was use in their videos, was pre-debut content
i don't think it's how you build a fanbase
BBC did a good job by making Loona interesting and mysterious it'll not be enough to make them popular
if they don't hit big it's not because of Loona because they are cute, pretty, talented and commited to their concept
but because of BBC who doesn't know how to manage a GG
anything is possible... brave girls hit big suddenly after their careers were virtually over

Their sales are mundane. Charting is non existent. Their hype is fake but their stan mouths are loud.. All in all their project is one big failure both financially & musically. Tis is why u start small instead f wasti g million dollars on ur first project. Just like Joy's acting. You dun start with main role & cause the drams to bomb that

Loona sold 131k of their 12:00 EP last year and now 58k of their newest one after only 4 days.
According to you OMG sales are mundane and theyโre floppingโฆ (of course not).
What you actually mean is a single hit with the Korean gp. Loona donโt need it, because like Ateez and a few other groups, they sell enough outside of SK and especially in the West! Theyโll get even more โcoinsโ if they can start touring again.
(Still a hit in K could happen anytime if they get a viral moment, like Chuu or something else).. ^

Sure the charted low, but they charted.
unfortunately many groups that sell well, like say WJSN, their songs unfortunately do not chart.
They will hit when they stop coming back with songs with gibberish lyrics.
PTT was REALLY bad in this aspect but all of their songs since debut had this problem. It is tolerable for us because we arent koreans, but frankly if this was my language I'd not listen to them much. I mean... stupid lyrics really can ruin a song.

They actually did. Butterfly peaked at #63 or something on the old chart.

CLC & LOONA is very different, CLC completely flopped (I used to hard stan CLC)
While LOONA keeps breaking their own records.
And PTT is actually doing decent in Japan even without having a proper japanse debut
