Aespa and Red Velvet aren't that bad compared to JYP GGs.

all gen4 girl group fans are a multi group. returning twice hurt sales and caused a decline. it happened at aespa in the drama it also happened at nmixx and itzy

Moreover, AESPA doubled down on China's strike because of their very individualistic bar selfishness

Nmixx has always been not that big, they only succeeded because their comeback distance was long

Itzy failed because Lia wasn't there, the fans got tired and changed fandoms

Looking at one month sales is more interesting.

Aespa sold roughly 2 million for My world and just 1.18 million for Drama. That is nearly a 50% drop off.

Red Velvet sold 800k with Birthday in the first month and 420k in the second. Again a nearly 50% drop off.

If we can expect the same from both Itzy and Nmixx

Nmixx sold roughly 900k for PARTY o Clock in the first month. If we can predict the sales and follow the trend then they should only sell 450k at the most for this comeback in the first month.

Itzy sold 1 million the first month which means again we should see them sell roughly 500k at most.

We shall wait a month to see if this holds true.

Correct me if I am wrong, but for Nmixx, aren’t these only Korean sales? As far as I know, they didn’t ship anywhere outside of Korea. I think the number will increase after they start shipping the albums

made sense to me. Mot Nmnixx fans are company fans of JYP in general. JYP groups appeal to general Kpop fans well enough. Plus the fans of Twice and Itzy. I mean Some of the biggest fandoms in kpop exist within JYP, that being SKs, ITZY, and Twice. Plus Nmixx's own fans. it makes sense how they could sell a lot. It's called big 3 benefit.

Its a correction. imo many groups have been in the nicest way of putting things, "over shipping".

Baemon and BP will be safe because Baemon has just debuted and certainly won't come down and BP has also been on hiatus for a long time and out of contract. blink will do anything to break the album record. I'm sure the girl group jype my twice will also do the same

Itzy only had 6 versions ? Their drop isn’t as serious as RV/Aespa which have more versions than their previous cb.

But Interesting I wonder what was the idea since JYP is obsessed with sales

aespa and rv are just as bad as itzy and nmixx. I mean, look at their version, only Itzy has a few versions, but that's the normal version released by Twice and BP

don't forget bts rarely uses multiple versions

they are full of excuses and nonsense. a little or a lot is still a decrease

the question is will this affect other GG as well like IVE and Gidle who are also coming back soon

They had 6+ more versions and still selling cheap mini versions and scene versions that were less than 10 Euros to buy and still dropped almost 1 million sales.

Didn't happen to Enhypen, Ateez so they must have increased their sales outside China in other markets so the drop isn't noticeable. NJ, Le Sserafim, IVE, Gidle upcoming comebacks be interesting though.

Gidle coming back in 2 weeks will be interesting. I bet we will also see a drastic drop in sales this comeback. I wonder if NewJeans, Ive and Le Sserafim will also see a drastic decrease in sales...let's see

Compared to their debut album, get up sales are much lower in China so they don’t rely that much from the Chinese market.

Well it's a scientific fact that the more options people have the less likely they will pick any. And it seems true as the 3 groups that had decrease in sales increased the number of options for consumers.

All of them have as much fraudulent chinese mass buying as the others so I'm really waiting for their albums to see what's going on.

It's understandable that Itzy would drop when they released a third of their previous versions. The decision from Division 2 to not release Digipacks was a good thing as they wouldn't have Lia on one.

As for the others, they released more versions and still dropped, NMIXX look to have suffered alot

I can tell you (G)I-DLE's will drop, as a Neverland.

There's 1 Chinese Bar Boycotting (deliberately not buying) and 3 bars couldn't get discount links - though I think Miyeon Bar and Soyeon Bar are doing an order together in that case. Minnie Bar just not participating.

Only the group bar (Idle's main bar, even bigger then their solo bars) and Shuhua Bar are participating.

So yeah, Idle will be affected too, doubt they'll get as much as I feel. I'm not sure it'll be 50% though.

any album having versions more than 5 is a bit excessive…
