Sure, not every group has a huge success like Blackpink even if they came from a big company, but BP isn't successful because they're more talented. YG cared more about them than any other group they have. That's a fact, even tho YG did a shit job with them as artists. The girls are merchandise, basically. I agree, their style is what their fans like, because they are the copy and paste version of 2NE1, but without the talent.
I don't think Blackpink was the first who sold more than 1M album. You sure it's true? Or you're talking about worldwide? Because than you are right. But I'm pretty sure TWICE and other groups already break their records. They are not even in the TOP3 anymore, soon they will be out from the TOP5 too, based on the stats I've seen today.
Why is it unfair? The real unfair thing is that Mamamoo never had the same luxury that Blackpink got. Also, Mamamoo would have the first US tour in 2019, but because of Covid they had to cancel it. They would be at Coachella.
Sure, Blackpink was only 3 years old, but still, hyped thanks to YG. While Mamamoo wasn't at their prime, especially worldwide. I saw a LOT of toxic Kpop "fans" online calling them "nugus" and joking and saying they won't sell enough tickets, won't fill 10K+ venues because they don't have 10K fans. Now, all of them are in silence mode.

I hate it if the record remains in Gen3 because the record must be beaten. I hope NJ and AESPA or whoever is able to beat the In Your Arena record or the Dome Tour Twice record in 2018. Kpop is still growing.
I also hope that there will be a BG that can beat Gen3's record no matter how late it is

Yes it’s a fact that companies help groups be popular so what that won’t change the fact that BP is indeed the biggest kpop girl group of all times. This is an objectively true fact that you’ll have to be absolutely delusional to deny.
It makes some people feel better to think their favs would be so much bigger given more promo and so on and so forth. Those are just hypotheticals that no one cares about.

Twice dan BP bersaing dengan GG generasi ke-2 yang memiliki potensi tur paling buruk sehingga generasi ke-4 tidak akan mengadakan “tur terbesar” dengan tur debut mereka, tetapi saya yakin Aespa dan New Jeans dan siapa pun juga akan melakukan tur yang jauh lebih besar dari itu. GG Generasi ke-2 mana pun seperti yang dilakukan BP dan Twice.

and the gen2 tour is impressive no joke. bigbang, snsd, super junior, 2ne1 are huge only gen3 beats them all. I hope Gen3's record is beaten but after 6 years no tour record has been replaced, even the first tour record Twice in Japan, no one has broken it, not even AESPA in terms of income.
