I believe what most i-fans have been asking for is if kpop intends to enter the western market, companies should learn and teach their idols more about the ins and out of the culture on a social level to gain better acceptance.
Also - guess what the k in kpop stands for.
I have no clue who they are, but over the years I have seen different group with few or no koreans as members trying to label themself as a "kpop"-group. It's very hard for me to see a group where more than half of the members are non-korean as an kpop group. It's a lot easier if the non-koreans are from other asian contries, like Japan and China., because it still keep the "asian vibe" in the group.
Like Twice, even if they removed on of the korean girls and put in a chinese girl instead so the balance was 4 korean/5 non-koreans I would not have a problem to still see them as a kpop group. But if we have a group of 4 koreans and 5 girls from a ethnic background outside of East Asia it would be difficult at least for me to see them as a kpop group.

For me, their music doesn't really get me although I kind of liked Tonight from a couple years back. As for Fatou, I really like her, and lowkey wished she had a chance at other more competent agencies. Hell I'm actually worried for her at DR and fear they'll misuse the hell out of her and she leaves the industry with jaded and with nothing.
The thing for me and BLACKSWAN is that the keep switching members even before they were BLACKSWAN. So it's hard to maintain interest.

Because the call for it is only from ifans. Sure qe do enjoy diversity when it comes to forgiens adopting our culture etc. But that's more of q curiosity and an appreciation thing and a natural one. We don't sit here and say OMG a white, black etc president for Korea or as a priest etc to represent Korea yea!! No that's only a western clown world thing.
Visuals, Vocals, Music, Fatou has everything. But you won’t catch Blackswan being discussed here on AKP like Newjeans or Blackpink. Fatou/Jenny Park easily deserve the same hype as Jennie/Wonyoung but they don’t get it. Why do they get ignored?

what I will say though is
it probably isn't lets find a blasian to debut regardless of their popularity
being a kpop idol takes time to nurture and develop
it's not as simple as just teaching someone singing/dance/rap etc etc
it's also the language/ culture/way of acting like an idol/ etiquette etc etc which is why they take young trainees since it's easier than taking older teens (or even adults)
