  • I was disappointed when I heard Fantasia for the first time. It was my first comeback as an MX stan and the first album after Wonho left. I really didn't like the song or the video. Looking back on it now though, I feel like it was my expectations that were at fault. I think it was a combination of loving their other stuff so much and missing Wonho. I absolutely loved their next album, Fatal Love.

Weirdly, when they went on to release the Japanese version, it totally hit me different. I now love the song. It's one of my favorites.

  • Was it the music? Concept?

Did you buy the album anyway? Stream or otherwise support?

Did it tempt you to stop stanning?

The music. They look stunning no matter what the concept is. I prefer more of their EDM type style, so think stuff like Miroh, as well as some of their softer songs like I Am YOU. Thunderous was not for me, but the music video looked good if nothing else.

I never buy albums and almost never stream songs, so nothing changed really. I just leave it alone and listen to their other bops. No! Never! I chose to stan them because I like their personalities and how nice and funny they are. Them being talented, good looking and making mostly good songs is just a bonus. Even if I hated every future song from now until disbandment, I’d still stan them just as much. I plan to Stay until the very end. Have a great day/night!

  • Same for me

They went from Blue hour to Loser=Lover!?!??! WHAT

I did not care for any of their music until Loser=Lover lol

  • I didn't like Jay B's solo album that much. I was expecting something closer to his work as Def., but I feel like all the features and AOMG/H1GHER producers kind of muddled that. Now that I see that he's also going to release music as Def. separately, I get it... but it's still weird for me to rank his album behind the others when I thought I was gonna vibe with it the most.

I like Glitch Mode, but it's really a let down after Hello Future and even Dream's Universe song Dreaming. I thought both of those nailed the Dream sound and feeling while Glitch Mode is more of a left turn. I also think Universe is a left down after Make a Wish and 90s Love, but I do love the second verse like A LOT a lot.

  • How many cbs would you say that you love vs the ones that you weren't vibing with?

idk exactly how many comebacks txt has had since debut but its only been 0x1=lovesong and lo$er=lover. the others ive really loved. i guess i wasn't expecting the vibe change ;(

  • Those are the cbs that got me into txt lol. I didn't like them before.

yeah, those two really grew the fandom because they were a lot more maturely styled in comparison to the other comebacks. the song itsself was also less focused on their typical bright magicalness LOL

Same fantasia was lackluster but nowadays it’s okay.

To answer the OP, if you count how you like that as a comeback for BP then that. Didn’t wait a long ass time for that </3

Also memeM for purple kiss. It did not meet expectations

  • Some of my faves are actually the only K-pop acts the comebacks disappointed me. This is because I have higher expectations related to them than any other group or artist.

I was disappointed at 'Her'/'DNA'. Nowdays I like the album more than in 2017, but I don't have the best memories from the era, because I wasnt enjoying anything.

I was disappointed at 'Ice Cream' and Lisa's solo debut.

The only comeback I dislike from Stray Kids is 'Levanter', but I didn't stan back when they released the album, so I couldn't be disappointed. I stanned in the following comeback only. Anyway... It's a weird era for obvious reasons.

Judging only music-wise, I only dislike 'Miracles In December', I didn't stan them in 2013. But If I mention the era as a whole, I was disappointed at DMUMT/Love Shot era. The lack of stages. When they were promoting, a lot of music shows stop airing, the lack of variaties, they complaining they wanted to promote more, but couldn't, so they did vlive to Interact with their fans. Suho promising they would do more fansigns to meet fans, but didn't do. It was such a weird era and a let down after almost one year of hiatus.

ITZY is the only one that I love everything. QUEENS.

. . . this one hurts because I love their debut but this feels like a step back compare to Lock Down but now tho I though it okay maybe I was excepted something more louder and noisy than Lock Down :wellr:

"Wow, I am the Only normal one here."

ITZY is the only one that I love everything. QUEENS.

ITZY are Queens and I love all their title tracks and music videos/concepts as well, so we’re on the same page there. As for Ice Cream, I actually loved it (aside from the whole Moses drama around it, but I got over it quickly)! The music video is so cute (you know I’m a sucker for cute stuff) and I like the beat. I vibe with it. Summer anthem, you just wouldn’t get it.

As for her solo debut, I LOVED Lalisa at first listen. A whole bop. The pole dancing was cute, I liked the Thailand reference and the beat was nice for me too. Now Money on the other hand...I’ll put it lightly and say at first I loathed it SO much and it took more than six months to grown on me, but I like it too now.

Lastly, for the reason I quoted you. I know I didn’t just hear you insult Levanter like that!

    :pepe-cut:

She’s just a beautiful song with a nice, soft music video. Embrace the soft vibes. I found this shocking since out of all the Stays here, you’re usually the one I agree with the most when it comes to their music, but I won’t stand for this!

    :mads:

    Have a great day/night!

  • yes;

I hate retro concepts, so I don't like "La Di Da" and "I Can't Stop Me". I do like the EXID retro concepts for some reasons though I don't know why.

Also, Majors' comeback is good, but I swear the sound mixer person must hate them. Also, please release a physical. Thank you.

"Let Me Know" was kind of disappointing after "Wings". Wings is just too good. But "Addicted" and Bewitched made up for that.

Honestly, "Love in Space" was not worth it. It sounds too much like "Love So Sweet". It's still a good song though.

"Rica Rica" was not worth it. I did not wait for two years for n.ch to give us that after "Girls". It's a mess.

  • ITZY don't miss, never. Anticipate their may comeback where they won't miss AGAIN.

Ice Cream already started wrong being a collaboration with Selena Gomez. I don't think It could've been saved even If the production was interesting and not boring.

I tried to listen both Lalisa and Money multiple times and It never grew on me. I don't think they are even catchy for my taste.

About Levanter, It's bland and uninteresting. I can understand why they chose to represent the era, but we want NOISY MUSIC... j/

I like the english version a bit more, tho. I think It sounds better than in korean.

  • I am anticipating!

I'm going to pretend I didn't read anything past the ITZY comeback reminder.

    See the source image

    Money, I get it, Lalisa, I don't.

I'm so used to listening to Levanter in English, I forgot for a solid five seconds it even had a Korean version. I'm dumb. As for noise music, Stray Kids better embrace it so hard that one day they start banging pots and pans in the instrumental of their song, or I'm unstanning. Chan, I know you're on here, if you see this, take notes, this is what us Stays really want.

The whole era was SOOOOO weird. Like ksoo and Minseok weren’t enlisting till a few months later. That could have easily been a great promo time for exo. They were internationally well received their sales was good their Korean charting was good…. Everything other than SM’s interest in promoting EXO was at peak.

  • three consecutive comebacks from loona: so what, why not, and paint the town. ptt was the last straw and it made me "unstan" loona.

    like it hot by gwsn.

and most recently, queendom and feel my rhythm by red velvet. i don't dislike either song but if i had to rank red velvet's title tracks they would be near the bottom of the list. every time i listen to either song i can't help but feel like both songs are lacking something.

  • EXO's Obsession
I don't like the song (maybe I expected a lot because of the concept which I really liked) and the first half of the album. My mind is different to when I heard the album at first time now but I still don't imagine myself liking it.

    ASTRO - One
Maybe I put a lot of expectation for this too because they were releasing a full album and I loved Knock a lot, but the song didn't hit on me.

The Boyz releases after Reveal. I love them but their comebacks after Reveal were kinda underwhelming to me.

    Obesession slander ??? 2x

"Wow, I am the Only normal one here."

  • yes, Love Shot. It was so simple for an EXO song and had so few promotions (only 3 music show performances which was unthinkably short at the time (lol if only I knew what was coming)) and plus it was rushed out only 6 weeks after Tempo. But I liked the b-sides and the performances were really good and I was happy they finally had another song that really caught on with casual ifans again. I was not tempted at all to stop stanning haha.
