How Long Have You been listening to kpop? For me I been a fan since late 2015 so this year is going to be my seventh year
I don't think I would leave kpop because it's music and it will always be here. I feel like I gonna be more of a casual listener later in life. Also I think it's going to be interesting following your favs if they are still a idol in 7+ years. Finally I think once you get old you just wanna be there for the music but not stanning groups etc.

I agree with the last part but it still feels fresh to me. But at the same time it feels like a second job I mean it's not my fault that I don't have a social life it just wasn't meant to be. I feel like if my life was balanced I wouldn't feel old and mentally tired.

But I was listening a Korean rock band before that. I just realized they debuted in 1998 and I remember getting Fly to you when it came out in 2000.
I need to actually Google things to find out how long I have been a kpop fan. It’s been that long.
People don't seem to understand I am getting too old for it. I am 54 this year and believe in being age appropriate and K pop is really only for youngsters and I want to move on and find healthier pursuits.
I am around since 2011, I was 13.
2010 is when I first heard about K-pop, but never got too seriously involved until 2012 when a super market jogged my memory of Gee again. I’d say over the past 9-10 years it’s been an on and off relationship with K-pop. I stopped actively listening around 2014 and 2018, I got back into recently due to the Twice world tour.
I listen in intermittent bursts then take a break, but I do concur with your statement it’s exciting to follow your idol and see how they develop down the line!

Became a SNSD fan in early 2009
Then had a vacuum from Kpop related stuff due to busy life from 2016-2019
During that period didn't listen to any other Kpop outside of SNSD related stuff, had 0 clue what's going on
From mid 2019 until now somewhat came back to Kpop. Still only primarily listen to SNSD related music. Used to like BP but since February last year my interest waned and now definitely not a fan anymore. Totally agree with the I'm just in it for my bias and music.
When I go to AKP, I just check for notif or put in SNSD in the search column to see if there's any SNSD related discussions (or 2nd gen stuff) that I missed. Very rarely do I engage in other unrelated discussion

I first heard Kpop around 2009 my uncle was a fan of super junior and 2ne1 (it’s still the only Kpop he knows lol) but I usually say I started with Kpop in 2010/2011 which is when I saw a music video by myself with snsd and would occasionally check out music videos etc by random Kpop and khiphop acts. No one in Kpop really clicked with me music wise, I didn’t like a lot of the Kpop I had heard until bts and I became an army in 2013.

Since 2010. A lot of the types of groups and music I like are gone (not into noise music lol) and parts of the idol scene like lots of TV shows are also gone. I'm only in it at the moment for SNSD so once they're over I won't really have much reason to be invested in kpop anymore

IGAB, TheBoys, Japan 1 I bought at the times of release at city centre hmv stores so they were VERY expensive. I got discounts and still had to pay like £30+ each. If I’m honest it was a rip off as I mainly bought it for the goodies rather than the cd but that’s price you had to pay because kpop wasn’t readily available back then.
The rest I got cheaper at £10-20 in store as I either got them later after release or albums were easily available.
With streaming and adult life (work and bills) im less inclined to buy albums nowadays. It’s such a drag that even though I’m a avid gamer and I haven’t bought a game at full price for years (usually £50+ last gen), I wait for them to get cheaper in like a year or 2.

How many albums do you own dude? If assuming they’re probably at like $20 maybe $30 each so you probably have around 30 to 50 albums. Unless you like 9 $100 albums

Why don’t create or buy a cabinet to show off your collection instead of hiding hem away in zip locks? I keep mine on my bookshelf with models and figurines.
You'd be better served by getting acid-free bags instead of using Ziplocs; you can get a package of 100 from Amazon for as little as $6.99; if you don't have access to Amazon, your local comic book store sells them. I usually use the ones labeled "magazine size", as they're bigger than the comic-sized bags. Sealing these bags with Scotch tape won't hurt the albums.
