I've seen no one say it yet, so TXT. They're at 1.43 million album sales on Gaon with only 4 Korean albums. That's huge.

Also I see a LOT of undercutting of EXO, which makes 0 logical sense.

Blackpink bc ppl didnt think their international success is that impressive and Bp's korean achievements always been belittled for no reason for a grp that has been releasing hits,mostly big ones every year in korea since debut and the only gg in this gen that can be considered a rival to them in korean charts is Twice.

We've even had ppl in akp asking if Bp was even a top 5 gg in korea last year b4 HYLT came out. 2020 for sure did make alot of ppl wake up and we'll see if they are still belittled or nt

From what I have seen in that japan top groups thread it's seventeen.

I've never seen people belittle g.o.d, shinhwa, sechskies or even Seo taiji as much as H.O.T so...

From what I have seen, the most belittlement will come from the top groups.

So I would say: BTS & BLACKPINK

TWICE now, even people who admit they're the third biggest kpoop group try to make them sound like the most pathetic flops ever despite that

EXO in a similar vein

no matter how successful Blackpink is... people would find a way to belittle their success.

BP and BTS is silly, hate them or love them, do not be blind of their success and achievements, it's like trying to argue water isn't wet

Adding another group not listed here: T-ARA ? The bullying scandal turned their entire reputation upside down but they were once very big.

Everyone at this point. Kpop fans are too competitive with each other in general.

I mean, personally I'm happy for everyone, so...

I've seen a lot of K-Pop fans, especially on Twitter, belittle SEVENTEEN's success and diminish their achievements just because they solely focus their promotion more in East Asia. Those K-Pop fans, especially the new/young ones, who have a mindset that overall International success and popularity immediately and only equates to what groups nowadays have achieved in the Western Market, mainly in the US.

I am baffled by the SVT erasure in this forum a few days/weeks ago. There are a lot of users here that still pretends that they don't exist.

bts and bp - i feel like some people think the achievements made by bts or bp are easy since they make it look easy. in reality, it is not and it is hard. hence, some downplay them.

exo and seventeen - people are just probably too focus on their faves and they erase these two. they are really big.

Bigbang. Their digital accomplishments make every other group in Kpop look like absolute flops. Literally IU is the only act that can rival what BB did.

People think Day6 flopping but then they are kinda like the most popular band right now

I mean compared to other bands like N Flying/Lucy/Onewe/The Rose, Day6 is like a lot more popular than them.

Also 4 out of 5 of the top 5 JYPE songs on Melon are Day6

The fact that if they were to have concerts I will have to fight for tickets now. Don't know to be happy or sad

I don't see a lot of people mentionning Aespa, but damn did they get the worst of it when their debut got all the hype.

I find it a bit amusing how "underestimated" TXT is when demonstrably they have the most balanced popularity/achievements in all metrics and across music jurisdictions for a 4th gen group. I'll go with good faith and think maybe that's because MOAs are not loud about TXT achievements here and for the most part they are unproblematic (and may it remain that way).
