Groups like Dreamcatcher are relatively unique in the sense that not many girl groups are doing what they're doing, but you also know what you're getting from them.

They have jpop vibes but I don't know any actual groups I would say are very similar both in music and styling.
With Dreamcatcher they are kinda the kpop version of band maid. Look them up, very similar in music and styling. There are several other groups like that too. Dreamcatcher is kinda unique for kpop but really similar to these other groups

No, I meant unique. No girl group can come out and pull off a Mamamoo "concept" without the talent, charisma and chemistry to pull it off. That's why we'll probably never see another Mamamoo for a long, long time. That's the very definition of unique.
People used to compare them to Spica, but Mamamoo were way more engaging, chaotic and fun on stage. That's what distinguished them early as much as their vocals, and why they were endearingly referred to as "Beagledols"; their crackhead energy was immense.
And that's where the Big Bang comp comes in. Mamamoo often threw in the silliest ad libs, stopped doing choreo halfway through promotions just to vibe with the audience and weren't afraid to be a little unhinged to spice things up on stage.
This is why I get annoyed when people try to reduce them to "the group that sings really well", as there was so much more to their ascension than just their strong vocals.
They KILLED on variety shows. Hwasa became an It Girl from her variety skills alone nearly, when she first appeared on I Live Alone.
Well, I digress. I think Mamamoo is easily the most unique girl group to come out of K-Pop.

F(x) - was really something, MHJ's innovations
After School - with their band/marching music, instrumental props etc.,
NJZ - bringing back retro nostalgia pop, is unique for these times. Again MHJ at work.
