I. Introduction
BABYMONSTER (also known as Baemon) is a South Korean seven-member girl group under YG Entertainment. They are active since 2023.
II. Career
YG Entertainment signaled the seven members' formal introduction on December 30th, 2022, with a poster and the subtext "YG Next Movement". The seven members were revealed through releases of live performance videos starting on January 12th, 2023 and also through the pre-debut promotional single titled Dream, released only to YouTube in May 2023. BABYMONSTER released their first extended play, titled BabyMons7er, on April 1st, 2024.
On July 27th, 2024, their fandom name was announced: MONSTIEZ (몬스티즈), a combination of MONS from BABYMONSTER and TIEZ from the word "ties", meaning that BABYMONSTER and MONSTIEZ can rely and support on each other in all ways.
