Pharita is the lead vocalist in the South Korean girl group BABYMONSTER.
II. Biography
Pharita (파리타/ภาริตา) was born Pharita Boonpakdeethaveeyod (ภริตา บุญภักดีทวียศ) in Thailand. Her legal name is Pharita Chaikong (ภาริตา ไชยคง), which differs from her name given at birth, but her legal name is the name she used for all her competitions. She can speak English and Thai fluently, and she is almost fluent in Korean. She loves watching animé. Her nickname is Look Pear (Nong Prae).
III. Career
She auditioned for YG for two and a half years, and she was eventually chosen out of the 1,226 applicants who had auditioned for YG. Her audition song was How You Like That by BLACKPINK. After being chosen to sing for YG, she decided to debute with BABYMONSTER in 2023. She is one of the two Thai members of BABYMONSTER (the other being Chiquita). She wishes to be like BLACKPINK's Lisa one day. She is nervous or awkward whenever she is around cameras. She knows how to use her own high-tone when she has to hit high-notes.
