When you see the words "The Perfect Idol", which CURRENT GEN idol is the first person you think of?

Karina's shown she's the top dog. Doing it in Aespa, doing it solo -- she's everywhere.

Jung Ahyeon is going to take over kpop, mark my words.

Apparently the meaning of the word current changed and I missed it. For 4th gen I would say Yujin or WY but personally I'd go with Yujin.

Hanni is a good pick. I think to Soyeon. She is the embodiment of leadership for me. She gave her group a clear direction, she is really talented and charismatic.

Karina. She can rap, write, sing, dance, host variety shows, always cares about members, social butterfly and etc.

One of the resent examples- when She, Yuna and Sullyoon had a collab stage at Gayo Daejejon and everybody in the audience were screaming that Karina is so pretty. Then Karina approached to them and said “to stop saying it” and told that everybody is pretty and that it is not a competition.

She cares about everyone around herself. She is that sweet girl!

Hmm.. probably Yuqi from Gidle. She have have one of the most unique vocal tone, she can also produce her songs herself, she is the best singer in her group, she is fine at rapping and she is really funny at variety shows. I think she is the most versatile idol 4th gen.

Yes, or that's what vocal rankings say. I am not expert in that subject. I don't stan any 4th gen group so my opinion is completely unbiased in this one.

The perfect idol to me doesn’t mean the most talented or the best all rounder but more an idol that’s graceful in whatever they do Tbh only Karina and Wy come to mind but they give me two different types of perfection!

WY is the standard perfect in every way polished and proper!

Karina is more imperfectly perfect she’s more relatable and down to earth

You mentioned, approachable, I think that already excludes Hanni if she's like that. A perfect Idol can't be approachable and can't be like a normal person. If she's like one of us, there's no reason to IDOLIZE her!

For the record, I don't think there's a single Idol sine the 4th gen who has this ability or whatever we should call it.

FOR ME: A perfect Idol is like Suzy, Yoona, IU, and even Seohyun. Honestly, If we're only including star power, presence, elegance etc, whatever we want to include, Seohyun is another level. Zero problems with her, she's always classy, and yes, maybe not as popular as IU, Suzy or Yoona, but I think she represents what an Idol actually means. I love all 4 of them, but Seohyun was always like the Korean Princess Diana for me. She's like an actual royalty. And yes, if we wanna talk about talent, she can do everything.

I can't see that in anyone in the 3rd, let alone the 4th or 5th gen.

Taemin-Identity is 100% right about the Gidle ranking. Miyeon, Minnie and Yuqi is the ranking.

As for Karina. Well, she has the talent, it's not her fault that SME is absolute garbage when it comes to rap. You can hear it in this compilation. Most of these are average at best, there are some that's actually good and easy to see her talent and potential.

IVE's Ahn Yujin

There are many idols with impressive talents, beauty etc., but then there are qualities that go beyond that.

Presence, personality, networking etc., one of the best indicators of that, is being repeatedly cast in Variety shows - which many idols have acknowledged is the toughest of the primary fields they work in- Music, Modelling, Active and Variety.

Not to mention, that be it in Iz*one or IVE, Yujin is not overshadowed by the It girls, particularly Wonyoung.

She probably has more CFs in Korea. Reputation for great beauty/glamour like Wonyoung/Karina, is often not relatable for most public - somewhat remote, whereas Yujin's kind of beauty/talent/attitude is more relatable and will impress for a longer time.

I would bet that Yujin will have a long career beyond idol-ing in some way or other.

So how do you know she can rap decently then?
