Paraphrased: OP complaining about people throwing albums in front of her company. The albums have no photocards/bookmarks, only the photobook left. OP tells them to not do that. It sheds a bad image of Carats.

What's the point of selling a lot of albums if you're going to do this in the end.. That's why we should start counting 1 album per person.. After this, it should be your own choice if you want to buy more albums

    2. [+140, -3]
I know I'll have people try to come at me for saying this but...Why are people talking about "this isn't only Seventeen's issue, all idol fans do it"? ㅋㅋㅋ this doesn't mean it's not an issue..?? And I personally think that it's laughable that people are telling them to take down these posts when they're uploaded by others, it's not like removingt hese posts would make the issue disappear, it'll keep appearingㅋㅋㅋ

    3. [+108, -87]
They give a pass to BTS, but they're calling Seventeen a scam

    4. [+97, -8]
We should change the rules. We should stop photocards, and remove the fan calls/fan events and just stick to 1 version. The issue is that person who buys the album should go in a database of that specific store, but wouldn't be registered in the database of another store, so they can just do it again and again. And they should keep albums only purchased within Korea to go in the Korean charts. There are so many people buying albums from overseas but it's registered as a Korean purchase

    5. [+97, -1]
The person who owns these albums should bet he one apologizing, why are people asking OP to apologize? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ The person who throw these should apologize;; you guys are doing so much just to shut others' mouths up

    6. [+78, -5]
They have 18 versions of an afforable album, 899 photocards, fansigns in 3 countries + fan calls that are like a lottery system. And the albums are either dumped in the streets or in overseas' warehouses. Seventeen's records are a scamㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

  • Not a new issue, which sucks.

1st time hearing that SEA fans buy albums and enter in fake US addresses though lol. That's a...way, I suppose.

I hope reform comes soon because this makes no damn sense.

  • they should sell photocards in boxes like those Panini stickers/cards for football

then people could just meet and exchange those for free

like I need this and that photocard and can offer this+this+this and they meet and job done

  • Definitely not new but still so weird... you spend so much money on a photocard? A piece of plastic? A picture you can look at all the same online?

This is why I only buy one album if I ever buy one, at least it feels like that one is "important" to me

  • I have said time and time before that CARATS are evil beings. Just like the rest of k-pop fans, this is why k-pop needs to be banned so that CLIMATE CHANGE can get better. sick people POLLUTING our GOD GIVEN earth. SOON there will be NO damn KPOP because the EARTH will be ON FIRE and EVERYONE will be BURNING, ALL because of KPOP fans...ALL their fault!!!! HATE companies, they are sick, NOBODY cares for the earth, we need SEVENTEEN and HYBE and every other LABEL in PRISON. WE need them gone. SO ANGRY! sick people, satanic. Just sick and evil, LOVE kpop though.

  • I can't even wrap my head around this one :melon_think:

They're trying to boost their faves ratings on the BB 200, and only way to chart there is to purchase in the US or have it shipped to a US address.

My guess is they are finding random warehouses in the US, bulk buying, and then all of the albums end up there.

At least they aren't sending it to people's homes I guess.

Even sellers are getting in on it. Ktown4u will sell an album at 400% markup for it to count on billboard

  • but they could at least donate them to younger fans who doesn't necessarily have the money to buy album

I saw something similar last time

Like fans were donating it to charities or something and it was worse because the charities don't want them.

Fans do this to make them feel good about themselves because they think that they are doing a good thing but it is just selfish because the organisations don't want them

  • Just because it's also becoming a problem with GG stans, doesn't mean it's not always been mostly a BG issue

That’s ancient story. Yeah there was a time when GGs couldn’t sell a lot. Now that’s changed so it’s no longer predominately BG. In fact as time progresses it’s being clear that GGs are gonna have both the sales and the digitals. And the gap will widen.

  • They give a pass to BTS, but they're calling Seventeen a scam

Lol well they are right all kpop fans do this with their overcompetitive obsession meaningless popularity contest that is charts and numbers.

I see it myself especially first weeks sale of any album. Hell sometimes i get free albums and get lucky cause some careless fan left the photocards in it. What's the old saying? Ah yes ", don't look a gift horse in the mouth"

  • Inorganic Kpop albums selling should be banned with all the waste its giving the world.... i prefer organic western sales before

Ikr people will criticize a company for sajaegi. But won't criticize themselves= fans for doing that same thing but worse because they waste all this electricity zombie streaming with 5 different phone's or PCs or buying hundreds of albums to throw in a landfill 🤡 atlest the company just waste money without pollution unlike fans. Like fans steaming farms is just as bad as crypto mining farms

  • army bought those albums just to stage these photos just to discredit 17's record

No they didn't. Every kpop fandom does this to boost their faves. army is no different lol another fandom has no reason to plan a psyop like that, these types of " scandals" do not affect the idol just fans and calls questions of the industry that allows this no need to blame another fandom 🤡 cararts just need to own it that simple

  • The bulk buying culture has to go away. It's okay if you want to collect multiple album versions, I have two, sometimes even three versions of the same album as long the photobooks and other collectibles are different, but there is a difference between buying for yourself and only buying to throw it in the trash can

If people want to desperately mass buying to break records, it's better to release digital versions and acknowledge those versions as sales on music shows, awards, and charts (Hanteo, Gaon). I'm 100% sure fandoms are willing to stop bulk buying physicals (where they need to pay shipping fees) if there was a cheap and convenient way to buy digitally. Chinese fandoms bulk buy digitals for their local acts. It's a waste o money? Yeah, but at least physical albums would turn into something only collectors would want.

The damages would be much lesser and kpop fandoms could keep their endless dick-size contest going on forever

  • People forget that fans don't bulk buy just for sales...it's usually to collect what comes IN the albums. unless you're a collector of THAT stuff you can't understand. Some bulk buy to try to get missing pc's, complete their collection or whatever else may come inside an album, usually every version has something different. I have 1,265 photocards, that does NOT include, postcards, mini posters, bookmarks, etc. These albums DO come with stuff

on top of that people bulk buy for that chance to get a video calls or in person fan signings. the more you buy the higher your chances. though some people are smart and do large group orders to increase their chances. Seventeen's fandom is NOT the first NOR the last who is going to do this. Just saying. The only way that can possibly cut down on waste is the Meta-albums they are doing.

a single card with the music on it and then it comes with more photocards and a small sticker sheet (i have those as well). But the photobooks, and others are collectibles and believe it or not some of us still listen to cd's..my car has a cd player and whenever i did not have unlimited data i had cd's at my finger tips to enjoy.

Yes there are collectors out there.

how does this happened? especially in weverse, the cc's issuing region matters if it doesn't match the address 😭 i couldn't use my cc for japan shop when i try to buy japanese membership. or do they do this at other us reseller?

people are so creative for such trivial case

people are so creative for such trivial case

Its called proxying. For example i use neokyo to buy stuff from japan and i use delivered korea for anything that requires a Korean address.

Delivered korea gives me a fake Korean address of my own but it gets delivered to their warehouse.

I'm assuming they are using some form of a proxy for u.s

maybe paypal or other e-cash bypasses this?
