she is getting there for sure, needs a bit more time. WY and Yujin debuted 5 years ago. She has debuted like 7 month ago. I think she is probably gonna be the biggest 4th gen it girl.

and she is not getting 'hate' because she is has a very natural, easy going and lovely personality. She is just very likable. And she is mostly growing in an organic way. Jennie and Wonyoung are 80% media play since day 1. (Specially WY.)

moreover, even sweet Minji is getting hate for having 'masculine' looks on pann by jealous hate girls.

When Suzy and Yoona were IT girls, they were universally loved by the Korean general public.

The only IT girl at the moment is Jennie. If you are not an idol + actress who is universally loved, to be IT girl you need to be in the world's biggest girl group.

The IT girl in training is Minji. Minji is ambassador for Channel like Jennie. The other is ambassador for some low end luxury brand that doesn't even have a revenue of $1 billion.

If mediaplay was so powerful when it came to popularity then Starship would've made Yeonjung from IOI an IT girl too, but they didn't and couldn't and was in fact surpassed by multiple members once she got added to WJSN.

The first hated 'it girl' Jennie (it girl mostly among the young gp not overall gp like classical it girls) was hated because of some of her half hassed behaviour and because she had a more 'chic' 'hip' image rather than the clasiccal korea's first love image or beauty queen image.

Even Yoona who was a beauty queen was also loved because of her approchable, easy going and nice persobality. Unlike WY who has a more cold image.
