Shut Down was very disappointing to me, classy was just okay and their latest song is good but very age inappropriate for half of the group.

I already liked shut down. I finally listened to Class:y - Classy because I've heard it mentioned 3 times (now 4) in the last week alone on AKP as a best song or top song, I like it too and I can see why people say its top 10 or soty.

But tick tick boom has nothing redeeming for me.

I mean yes, in this case it's not about the music.

Class:y have some great music, but I can't in good conscience support a group with members that young. Plenty of other people also expressed distaste at the Grade 1 of My Teenage Girls' ages.

They sound - to a casual fan - like a number of mid-tier to nugu gg. I think they are pretty solid for a nugu but if you put them in a room with Nature and Lightsum, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference, tbh. I don't hear a song and go "oh that's Class:y!"

Do you think music matters when 5 middle bgs or ggs are coming back at the same time? I think it still makes a difference although the amount of people who know the group is more important

which is why i said that it matter when 2 groups with similar popularity comeback at the same time, if they have similar popularity, the amount of people which know the group is also similar, this is when music counts, the song which hit the casuals the most, is gonna chart higher

Even among mid tier groups there are a lot that are in the higher or lower echleons, for example just recently there's TripleS, Alice, Nature, Class:y, I feel like only Alice and Nature are really in competition, TripleS is probably above them and Class:y is above TripleS

none of this are mid tier groups, what i would count as mid tier groups is WJSN, Loona, Dreamcatcher, maybe Kep1er for now and groups around there

this is just a personal opinion, but they have nothing special and their facial expressions in the first video are all over the place.

Their discography is quite bland. There's nothing about the group that really outstanding especially when they're not from big company. If you put them with other nugu groups like Pixy, Chebul, Bvndit or Gwsn, nothing makes this stand out. I can even say, they have the weakest discography among these group. Especially if you compare them with the nugu group that able to make it big like Mamamoo, GFriend and Oh my girl.

Actually I kind of dig some of their songs. They are fun. I don't often find myself wanting to revisit them though.
