I really like How Aespa was create to stand out from other GG

it's not only about Music and concept or MV wise

but also in term of fashion, and i really appreciate SM for pushing Aespa fashion wise to stand out from Other GG by always giving them custom outfit that you'll never see any other girlgroup wear

and in my opinion there's not enough appreciation post about Aespa fashion

Even their stylist acknowledge the fact that working with Aespa is different from working with other GG

because they really have to take into account their concept to create different outfit who will reminds people their people and leave a lot of easter egg in their outfit

For example one of the stylist for Savage era talked about how he had to take into account the role of each one of the girl in their universe to build their outfit around it

"We were debating on what to put here without making it look too childish, so we used each of their Neo-symbols. I didn’t think much of it while I was working on it, but I thought that if someone found it later, it would be fun, like an Easter egg."

Giselle‘s outfit was meant to represent a “black hole,” which could relate to the wilderness concept for their universe “KWANGYA.” This was a huge shock for many fans as Giselle’s character has always been seen as someone who represents the light. Yet, light is unable to escape from black holes due to its ability to bend light.

Winter‘s outfit was focused on the idea of the sparks, and Karina‘s focused on the idea of storm. Two contrasting elements are seen as things that shouldn’t be put together due to the danger water poses with electricity. Yet, in the music video, they are two idols who work in harmony throughout.

For Kim Wook, he saw NingNing’s symbol as being “code.” For this, he looked back at the concept used for “Next Level” and focused on that idea.

The stylist for the white outfit of Savage era also talked about making outfit for aespa is different from making outfit for normal girl crush GG

because for GC GG they usually use dark or vivid color to give them a strong look

but was surprise that in the case of Aespa SM wanted something who looked like wedding dress with very pale, beige tones but looking like warrior outfit and taking into account each of the members skills

same i do agree that some of their outfit were questionable but it never really bother me

because hearing their stylist talk about how they have to work differently for aespa made me realize

that Aespa outfit aren't just make to make the members looks pretty but they are here to export to the real world their concept, their outfit have a purpose and there's a lot of details and idea for their concept going behind the creation so it really gave me another vision on their outfit

Same i really like the fact that SM is trying to make Aespa embrace their concept to their full potential

and even during DCT era who's very different from the futuristic, cyber concept that they are used to

you can still notice that their stylist worked hard to still bring this futuristic vibe into their accessories so it still reflect aespa aesthetic

exactly especially in a time where GG all use the same check pattern type of outfit in their performance

Aespa really stand out with their unique outfit

i hope SM can keep this for many years, and will not give up in the middle and start to give us some generic bland outfit
