HYBE, YG, JYP and SM Album Sales in 2021 (based on Gaon & Gaon + Oricon)

I have a question, is this just Korean sales or worldwide sales?

Gaon is automatically world wide for Korean album sales. Japanese album distributed in Japan are counted on oricon. So total sales of Korean(or albums distributed from korea) + Japanese albums = Gaon + Oricon

I think if we count niziU or wavy, we also need to count Justin, Demi etc. So maybe that’s why worldlove stick to Korean groups that debut in Korea?

I don't know about the other western artists but Justins record label is not under Hybe, just his management.

BTS released essential version of their 2020 album 'BE' earlier this year in February which has sold over 900k.

'Butter' CD sold around 2.9m.

'BTS, The Best', Japanese compilation album, has sold close to 1m on Oricon.

5m out of their 9.2m sales this year are for physicals released this year. 4.2m are catalogue sales.

So BTS have released physicals this year it's just that they haven't released an album.

HYBE really is coming for 27m to 30m sales next year. Most of their acts have amazing selling power.

With BTS’ comeback next year, it’s probably safe to say they will probably exceed 15-16M sales or probably even more in one calendar year.

Seventeen is probably going to exceed 5M one calendar year next year as well with the pace they are growing— especially considering their rumoured full album in 2022.

Enhypen is probably going to grow even more in sales, assuming 3M, as they did exceed over 2M sales this year.

TXT is probably going to hit 1M with their next album hopefully, and probably surpass 3M total next year as well.

Wow. It’s impressive to see how strong and diverse the market is. BTS had an amazing year, and so did EXO, NCT, Seventeen, TXT, Enhypen, Red Velvet, Twice, Itzy, Shinee, Stray Kids and aespa, in addition to all the soloists like Rosé, Jennie, Lisa, Baekhyun, D.O. and Kai.
