Why GG stans don't stan BGs and BG stans don't stan GGs?

they are... different? as a gg stan, i'm interested in a girl group's concepts, fashion, stages, voices, feminine sound etc... bgs are different from what i need

i've said this many times...

if i'm going to be looking at hot sexy people dancing and singing they better be women...

I stan both, but when it comes to songs I prefer bgs because I can only sing along with male key so I'm more drawn to bgs songs

A major reason why I tend to follow girl groups is because their music production tends to be more on point.

Almost any group that has potential, guy or girl, I am still encouraging towards.

Because I've been a metalhead since forever, a male voice needs to rock. When it comes to pop music, which is lighter and softer, female voices sound more natural and pleasant to me. I can appreciate a bg from time to time but I'm not looking after them. There are enough gg's to keep me busy.

I'm a gg stan, the only bgs that I listen are Super Junior and Beast, maybe its because I really like the ggs singing (and their performances).

In the case of bgs people maybe are more interested in the boys too, but idk, music from ggs and bgs have a different vibe, so depending on the person they might like one style instead than the other.

I don't care or at least I did not but kpop somehow makes you want to do it.

I know outside of btxt I mainly listen to ggs or female artists but why i don't really know maybe it's about the concepts drawing me but outside of that it's not that important to me

1. Most k-pop fans are teenagers and people in their early 20's. This means most of them are virgin which is a huge factor for the music the kpop groups produce.

2. Most gg fans are Male who are not confident about their sexuality and want to keep the image of masculinity before society.

3. Most bg fans are Female who tend to be jealous of successful women.

4. Most gg fans also have this agenda of feminism so if they stan a bg, it will make them look fake.

Point 1, 2, 4 are for why gg fans don't stan bgs.

Point 1, 3 are for why bg fans don't stan ggs.

Take all of this as an observation and an opinion and not facts. Also take all points as one and understand the context.

Because their music is different. BGs and GGs don't sound similar to each other. Of course there are people who like both, but not everyone.

I prefer bg too more bc of gender maybe as I'm a girl I prefer boys even tho I stan 2 gg

I always leaned towards girlgroups when it come to music and stuff. But I did try to get into boygroups

I personally prefer female voice and visuals are more pleasant to watch. Maybe because I am attracted to girls. I also listen casually some bg songs, but my main focus are on ggs.

Apart from 2NE1 and F (x), I have never really liked gg. I might like a song here and there but not enough to stan the group. I have always gone for boy groups for the music and longevity.

I prefer boy groups because I like their voices and music more.

With a few exceptions, girl groups's voices are too fake for my liking, too high-pitched on purpose etc. Also, even if I like the music from some of these girl groups, I find their variety shows too boring or I simply can't connect with them at all.

bg stans find gg music annoying and gg stans hate bg music. and also depends on who u like to see more, if ur not easily impressed by female visuals/attracted to women u will lean towards bg but if u don't like looking at good looking men most likely u will prefer ggs. If u don't care about either then u will most likely just stick to the music, which is super rare in kpop.

I think also your sense of humor is key to find which groups you'll like more. If You prefer loud, straightforward humor you'll prefer bgs cause they tend to be louder, but if u prefer a cute, subtle type of humor then you will enjoy ggs more.

This is true. For music I like both equally (and like GG title tracks slightly more), but I don't enjoy girlgroups variety shows, nor reality shows. They are boring

Good point is: I don't actually care for variety shows, I rarely watch them even for Boygroups, hence I don't mind girlgroups being boring at variety shows

I do enjoy performances and both satisfy me equally, although I see more budget and production for boygroups on year end shows/awards which is a shame imo

I like both I do prefer GG songs and I'm a girl, it's not that BG's aren't talented but it's heavily generic, whereas GG have stronger identities for me

In general I prefer bg because of the music. I tend to like a specific style (r&b/hip hop), which already slims down the options. Additionally, I’m not a fan of the higher pitch of the female voices or the “cute” concept musically or visually. (Even within the girl crush, there’s still that higher voice that I’m not a fan of.) The gg I do like tend to have a lower pitch and more r&b style, like Red Velvet (notably on the Velvet songs) or Mamamoo.

Only boy group I like proper and fully stan is Stray Kids, the rest of my fav groups are everglow/dreamcatcher/gidle/itzy etc just cos their music appeals to me the most and I can vibe with it as a girl, but stray kids are also hype and lit and they give me that fix that the girl groups just dont give me, and because there's so many girl croups im into, i dont really fan girl over them or catch up on their content cos they're too many, but with the one boy group i do like i always watch their content etc maybe cos im attracted to some of the members lmao so idk what conclusion to take out of this
