OK, so as the threads that I will link to below have 'proven', IU is irrelevant outside Korea, she may as well get promoted by the nugu promoter accounts that I follow. So knowing that, I figured nobody was going to buy tickets for her concert in my city.
So I get comfortable and log in to my Ticketmaster account 15 or so minutes before her tickets went on sale, and surprise-surprise, the tickets were sold out by the time it was my turn to buy.
How is this possible, she sold like 5 albums in the USA for her last comeback, she probably charts as high as Tri.Be on the billboard charts, and yet I could not get tickets, WHY?
Twice at least sells albums in the USA, so ok, they chart like Pixy but sell albums like NewJeans in the USA, so I get that there may be some people out there that live inside caves, or that come out from under their rocks when Twice has a concert, then they do like the Cicadas and go hibernate for years at a time.
BUT IU, who in the greatest country in the world has ever heard of IU?
Where did these people come from? and why did they take my tickets!
I WANT MY TICKETS!!!!!!!!!!
All of her erstwhile allies are now joining the new star, who is now covered by a lot of people who used to cover IU.
IU might rebound a bit in the next album since she would be aware that her stars are now significantly dimmed, but that will probably be the last hurrah.

Virtually everyone outside of Korea will argue that BlackPink was most influential of everyone not named BTS.
if Kpop had made a complete, irreversible break with Korea, this kind of argument would not even exist. Blackpink would be the Greatest of KPop now, and IU would be some local singer.
Same reason few people pay attention to the Brazilian soccer league or the baseball leagues of…

On the same day a 1,343 year old singer had her concert at the Olympic Stadium , holding around 44,000.
So in K-O-R-E-A, at least, Stray Kids had a drawing power about 1/4 of that of the former owner of Edam Entertainment.

That shows acts not named BTS can now hold stadium tours.
But that leaves an uncomfortable shadow, because even to them, and all other acts not named EXO, BTS and NCT, the main stadium in K-O-R-E-A remains elusive. Twice, even now, had to settle for the KSPO dome(the Gymnastics Arena)f in K-O-R-E-A.
BlackPink, Twice and now aespa, no matter whether they might fill a real…
It decided the fate of BTS and aespa.
IU's victory against aespa led her to the position of the #1 singer in K-O-R-E-A, a significant development which eventually led to the argument of K-O-R-E-A-N incels that BTS didn't even dominate K-O-R-E-A valid, dragging them to the military and effectively ending the BTS empire which enveloped the entire world.
It also led aespa to take a fans-only direction, away from general public…

MAMA is basically the only Grand Prize worth its salt, while MMA continues to shit on itself and Golden Disk not being what it was .
MAMA is watched by the most people around the world, whether you like or not, while MMA is watched by a bit less people and Golden Disk now an afterthought.
IVE's Grand Prize from MAMA is, basically, more than anything IU won in other…
'BTS is the most consumed K-pop artist in the world, but it turns out that IU even surpassed BTS to be the most popular artist in Korea.'
I'm shocked you didn't write a history lesson about Koreans choosing domestic singer this year lol

Other than MIyeon, I found no references of current Gidle members mentioning the Senior Singer. Since their paths do not overlap it is unlikely that they will ever have anything to do with each other.

BTS will have a concert at the Chamshil Olympic Stadium, which normally can house up to 55,000.
BTS' last concert there had 45,000 for 3 days. (The full capacity is rarely used in concerts because of the stage settings, etc.)
When it had a concert at the Sofi stadium last December, apparently it filled its 70,000 seats 4 days.
However, the K-O-R-E-A-N-S , with the law and order candidate Yoon Seokyoul likely to win the Presidential…

SNSD 12.4%
I U wins by 0.5%.
2014 was the worst year for SM and if MNet did not deny IU her Grand Prize and give her a Lifetime Achievement Award, making her a Senior Singer (which would cause trouble later but that's another story) ,
KPop would have died there.
On that year, IU and SNSD were in the media the most, and IU battled EXO for the supremacy of KPop in a very…
Set in the same space with "Solitude", it tells a woman, simply called Mama Grande, who rules a town with an iron fist, destroying any rivals in her watch.

So, Laboum's supporters began to push that song, which is now at #203 or so in the Melon chart.
However, the problem with Journey to Atlantis is that it was already somewhat known. Not a major hit, but it was discussed for quite a while, so there was nothing 'new' about that song.
Aalow Aalow was less known, so it would have created a bigger wave.

Lee Jieun showed she is the last standing of the 2nd generation.
I mean, Lee Jieun fought the giants of Kpop from 2010, and for 11 years which is like an eternity in KPop, all these acts wanted Lee Jieun out of action because she was the only one not following the rules of KPop,
but , as the only soloist of note (others were famous for some time but only Lee Jieun has held on for 11 years), she has always had some following from K-O-R-E-A.
Her biggest crisis was on…
