Which top 4th Gen Girl Group's music do you like the LEAST?

If I had to rank them from best to least...

1. IVE

2. AESPA, LSFM, New Jeans (all 3 groups have songs I like and don't)

3. G-IDLE (I can name like 1.5 G-IDLE songs I like)

I did seriously think about putting G-Idle, but I did REALLY like their older Soojin days stuff.

For New Jeans songs, the highest level of enjoyment I can put on any of their songs is I "tolerate it"

Tough choice between LSFM and G-IDLE, the other 3 have god tier discographies.

I love old G-IDLE songs but I haven't liked anything since Hwaa. If I pretend like anything after Hwaa doesn't exist then it's an amazing discography.

For LSFM I really loved the first album and especially Blue Flame. Antifragile was good but it's the only title I've liked. I think most of their songs are either too generic and/or just sounds like very basic western music.

So I voted LSFM but ironically I still like the group probably 2nd most on this list because their content is nice and the members are quite likeable.

Aespa by far.

NJ but only because their first (debut) album didn't really connect with me

and the fact that they are the only group of the ones listed who aren't my favs

2) LSRF

3) Newjeans

4) GIDLE

i used to put LSRF at #1 because both title tracks and B sides are fire. But i dont like the direction they're going. I think hardcore songs suit them more but i agree with sakura, they cant do the same concept forever.

Gidle is dropping ranks on each comeback.. i want more Latata-Hann-Lion-OMG-Hwaa type of songs.

on side note im surprised Aespa doesnt have the most votes. I would have expected them to be least liked given the general consensus of AKP but seems like they're okay-ish

Aespa's sounds can get very tiring if put on repeat mode. They're good for concert/festival though

If i must to pick, Aespa

IVE - I love most their songs, probably 1-2 bside I didn't like

G)I-DLE - I dont like most their title tracks, prob worst title tracks of this list but their recent bsides are incredible, title track quality IMO and probably the best bsides of this list. But since their bsides are better than most the title tracks here to me, I have them at number 2.

New Jeans and LSF recent stuff are pretty similar so I'm grouping them together. All their songs are pretty decent none that are terrible but I'm not crazy about any of the tracks either. There is a place and time for their songs due to it's mellow vibe so there is a place for it in my library.

Aespa stuff is really hit or miss for me. It's either great or its not, there's not much in between.

Gidle. Queencard was good, Fate which is city pop is ok, but the rest in the last 2 years is meh.

Really many people do think this though so maybe I'm missing something.

I guess Super Shy is the closest they have come to resembling LSFM music so you have a point there with 'recent stuff'

I like almost the whole discography of the other groups

But (G)-IDLE... I like only 2

Gidle without any doubts. They release the worst music among this list, if we talk about music only.

GIDLE probably the most generic

funny thing is Soyeon is supposed to be the most talented yet creates generic songs in title tracks

I only like newjeans' songs

Before their latest comeback, it would have been LE SSERAFIM for me, but now it's AESPA.

Gidle. I couldn't finish the album i started from them. I do enjoy some of their tts.

The others i have enjoyed their bsides alot.

My favorite is newjeans currently.

I like them all, but if i must pick the least its between ive and nj. I prefer bolder songs the others have

I listen to all groups except Aespa, their sound/style doesn’t appeal to me. I did like their Tetris song tho.

Also G-IDLE newer songs don’t hold me as much as before either.

New Jeans, I find their songs bland.

At least with the other groups, there’s at least one song I think is a major bop.

Out of those, (G)I-DLE by far.

Overall, IZ*ONE (if we can consider them 4th gen).

But then thinking again, it's Aespa

IVE music I listen once and my reaction is always "meh, whatever"

Aespa in other hand have a couple of songs that I finish and found perplexing SM even considered recording it, let alone release it

new gidle music is not my taste.

Best is Ive obviously. I count at least four 10s among their singles including their Pepsi song. Kitsch is almost there at 9.5.

Second is a tie between Idle and LSRFM. Each has one song i would consider a 10 out of 10. Idle has Dumdi and LSRFM has a B side song called Lamppost. Plus other great B sides like Impurities, Fire, even Blue Flame and Flash Forward, while Idle has a few other great songs as well like My Bag, Wife, OMG, and Uh Oh.

Then it's a battle between Aespa and NJ for last place. Aespa has the best song of the entire 4th generation with Next Level but the rest of the disco is mid or worse. New Jeans has a 9 out of 10 in OMG, nowhere near as good as Next Level, however i think songs like Attention and Hybe Boy are way better than Savage/Girls/Spicy/Illusion/other forgettable prerelease singles. Even Super Shy has aged better than those Aespa songs and i originally gave it like a 5 ish score.

(G)-Idle

Tbh lowkey all of them. I prefer earlier songs, except njs and aespa I liked their recent songs more

this was tough because i like all these ggs, it was between newjeans and gi-dle for me and i chose newjeans because they only have 4 songs i'll actively search to listen to (hype boy, hurt, eta and gods) while gi-dle have a much larger discography so i'll search for their songs more often, also they have k/da

(G)I-DLE too good for kpop confirmed

Probably IVE or Newjeans as I prefer aespa, G-(I)dle and Le Sserafim music to their own but I still appreciate a lot of their songs.
