Hwasa "I Love My Body" : Bop VS Flop

Good message, but I'll be honest. I find the song cliché.

It sounds forced because the lyrics are too direct and literal. It doesn't seem like much thought was put into the songwriting. I hope that makes sense. There are already many western songs just like this, so it's overdone at this point.

"Maria" was also a song about empowerment and self-love, but it was effective because the lyrics were poetic.

As someone who loved every single title track hwasa had put out prior to her departure from rbw, I’m being hit like a truck by the unmissable obvious absence of rbw producers’ touches on this new song of hers that’s liberally doused in p-nation’s signature style and sounds lol Oh well, i guess i can always cling to her holy trinity of no-miss releases perfect track record

lol love my girl hwasa but i knew from the moment i heard she was signing with p nation that her creative output was gonna suffer for it, to put it briefly but if she manages to be better managed and given more opportunities under her new company, then i’m happy for her - i can just repeat her old songs ad infinitum meanwhile 😌 it’s not like it’s an unbearable sacrifice when her rbw stuff was god tier tbh

Sigh, I was scared this would happen. Barely 2 and a half minutes, generic, Psyesque and just a waste of talent. It doesn't feel like a Hwasa song to me, it feels like shes doing a cover song as a pre-release.

The rap part makes it a B-side. The rest is pretty good.

Yeah imo lyrics for this one comes off as superficial. Nowhere I am convinced im message this song is trying to deliver, not in mv and not in the song itself.

But if I look at it as just another catchy song it gets better.

yeah, that one’s sadly not for me. It really does sound Meghan Trainor-y, except for the chorus which is just… …. Not great.

Agree with everything that has been written already. Sad.

I really don't like this song. Hwasa's other songs were so much better.

Also I don't know about you guys, but I can't stand songs about body positivity, or the "I love myself" message.
