Le sserafim has 2 known members, Sakura with huge fanbase, more mature concept, better dancers so why is NewJeans doing better? In Korea maybe not surprising but even internationally, NewJeans is doing better on Spotify too, Ditto is outstreaming Antifragile twice daily. How does NewJeans debut album sell more than Lsrfm debut album when Lsrfm already has an existing fanbase from Izone?

I mean, they are under the same company so it is interesting that Newjeans is getting more traction. I believe it is marketing. Newjeans marketing is really strong, probably the best in 4th gen right now. It resonates well with the younger generation that not only are Newjeans apart of but are their main audience.

Yeah personally, I feel New Jean's image is more relatable than LSF's for younger people.
It's good though that LSF and New Jeans feel distinct from each other. They can offer different things for different kinds of people.

I really enjoy both groups and they are both too new (like they both have yet to release a 1st full album yet lol) to be considering anything definitive re comparisons. Too early to say - let’s wait a bit more to discuss.
Like others have said - LSRFM had a huge scandal and I think it def hurt them. I am not worried though because I think the ladies will prove it with their talents and move on from the scandal.

Less than a year after Ive debuts, NJ debuts with ginormous hits Attendant and Hybe Boy, just like how BP made a big debut statement with Whistle and BBY less than a year after Twice's debut.
Now NJ and Ive are locked in a battle of giants, just like BP vs Twice in 2016-2018.

like on their debut, they got hit by many things, even tho I saw that many people said their debut are also interesting...
like every day people are waiting for each member reveal, and some weeks later people are fighting to get this digital souvenir
the lame management of Garam case really blow the hardest punch to them, making many potential stan leaving them, reworking their footage, webtoon revision and so on.
and actually they are doing really good with antifragile despite all of the mess they got in fearless era

The 3rd gen comparison doesn't work because Aespa exist. They have a bigger fandom then any other 4th gen girl group and will probably continuing outselling them all in the immediate future, whilst still being capable of getting as big hits.
There isn't really any comparative to New Jeans in the 3rd gen

People always using the ex-IZ*ONE member thing when none of the members were very popular among the GP apart from Wonyoung & Minju. Chaewon had her moment during Panorama but then they disbanded shortly after.
NewJeans had more hype than LSFM even predebut, go on twt and you'll see that them and YGNGG were probably the most hyped. Add on the effect of the Garam scandal, HYBE stans ditching them en masse as a result for NJ and NJ's concept directly targeting younger people and no it's not exactly surprising.

I'm surpsied they're even doing this good, hybe stans had been anticipating newjeans since 2019 when they teased Minji through pgngg auditions. There were so many fanwars when Lesserafim was announced, I'm surprised they're getting so much love these days and besides NewJans had new faces with more budget, good music and a fresh concept meanwhile Lesserafim had a 2$ MV with a "boring" concept. I prefer Lesserafim's music but I totally get it why NewJans are doing better.
