sales mean nothing, fandoms quantity means nothing?
these also determine whether a group disbands or not, it literally pays most the bills

Hard to say, but if JYP learns their lesson and gives them a song that actually works with their strengths, it'll probably be less hated. And being less hated could lead to people who wouldn't've given NMIXX a chance actually starting to like them, which equals not a flop. But on the other side, JYP could give NMIXX an experience like Queendom by Red Velvet, where the song is as safe as possible but isn't really anyone's favorite, which'll probably equal flop. (Not to say Queendom is bad, I like it a lot!)

ooh. yeah. it would be worse if they went super safe to try to backtrack. i hope they give them a solid song. not too experimental, no more mixpop, but not safe and boring either.

Even though O.O got so much hate,a lot of people seem to be really into the girls nevertheless.The members are getting lots of praise for being talented and likeable,and people are mostly blaming the label for giving such a well-rounded group such an atrocious debut song.I don't remember seeing this energy with aespa or kep1er,for instance.
NMIXX are indeed a very solid line-up,really the only piece missing is a song that people will actually accept, after which I wouldn't be surprised if they managed to hit it big everywhere.

and a lot of them are ad views which is fine, promoting your artists is a good thing, but it obviously didn't pay off

So here's the interesting thing....
A Song can do badly on the Digital Charts but for a Group to really flop would be a massive drop in their Album Sales.
So for NMIXX to flop would mean thier next album will sell less than 20k as this will indicate a mass exodus...
If you don't understand then consider this...
The majority of album sales a Kpop Group has is due to Pre-Orders so it's really not about the Song they will release

It REALLY depends on the song. Hardly I say it about a group, because for me, brand and hype are bigger factors for hit songs than a good song in public's perspective.
But I've noticed NMIXX has the advantage to be a girlgroup, to be from JYP who has a strong brand for girlgroups on It's own and they've been well received for their vocals and Sullyoon's visuals. O.O has been charting in low positions as If the public is saying "I want to listen to this group a lot, I just don't want to listen to that song"
