I`m just curious, but why are there no coed units?

I mean there would be so many great possibilities to have co-ed subunits?

and I dont mean a normal collab, I`m talking about a whole new group with an album.

I think it would be a great idea, but somehow co-ed groups dont seem really accepted?

for example taeyeon and onew would be a great combo.

or key and seulgi. idk

sm did try to make coed projects in the past, but idk how succesful they were.

I`m not talking about normal collabs thought. I`m talking about sth like sm the ballad, with an album release, not a single. but it would be nice to see collabs too.
