I really don’t understand. Cube is preparing to debut a new bg and probably has sent actual trainees on the show since they were teasing them all summer. Why would they bother sending a member (and the most vital one at that) of a nearly 7 year old group? And if it was Hui’s choice I don’t understand what he gets out of it. I’m really interested in hearing his reasoning once the show airs.

It was obvious Leo was the core member and were building the group around him so once he quit everything fell apart. This is why it’s always tricky to put all your eggs in one basket.
I’m sorry but he’s so above Boys Planet. This is the same person who produced songs for Wanna One and both male Produce seasons. Going from that to competing to dollar store version of Produce would be weird. Plus didn’t he get discharged last month? Auditions for BP closed at the end of August. Did he audition from the military? lol.
Being some sort of mentor or even the producer of the theme song would make a lot more sense. Like imagine him walking in with the other Cube trainees. It would be so awkward lol. But if he is somehow competing then the group will actually have a legit vocalist so there’s that.
