Blackpink vs Twice vs Red Velvet - Rank their discographies

I only liked BP songs until 2018 and don't like the other two, so all of them are meh to me.

Red Velvet ( a very diverse and beautiful discography with subtle and delighful vocals)

Twice ( The queens of bubblegum pop for me)

Blackpink ( nice discography with catchy songs)

RV > BP > Twice

RV > Twice > BP

Blackpink barely has a discography so

For me: Red Velvet > BlackPink > Twice

When Red Velvet has a good song, isn't just nice, it's kinda life changer. Psycho, In&Out, Ice Cream Cake, Peek a Boo, Oh boy... are some of my favorite kpop songs, Psycho is my alltime favorite kpop song.

I like Blackpink and Twice songs too, but overall none of them hit me like Red Velvet best songs.

All good but my personal ranking is:

Twice > BlackPink > Red Velvet

I will say though, that RV probably has the highest highs (Russian Roulette, Bad Boy, Psycho, etc)

Twice >>>> Blackpink > Rv

BP > Twice > RV

RV songs like Look, I Just, Atta Boy, Bad Boy, Dumb Dumb, Kingdom Come, Time To Love, Blue Lemonade off the top of my head outclass every BP track but BP doesn't have a single bad track unlike RV (Zimzalabim, RBB and many more) so they're at the same level for me.

Twice (they have the best title tracks and some good b-sides and I often don't like b-sides from girlgroups so that doesn't make a big difference)

Red Velvet (they have big variety if it comes to songs so it's easy to find something I'm in the mood in but then other songs I don't like at all. They also have some good b-sides)

Blackpink (they have many good songs but hard hitting songs is what they're good at and what they keep doing for most part. So after listening to blackpink, I feel like listening to smth else sometimes)

My favorite RV song is their OST Future. Their music in general has never done much for me. BP have some good highs, I prefer their b-sides over the title tracks. Same with Twice, they are seen as a title track group but I've been following them since 2015 and I've always preferred their b-sides. Neither Cheer Up, TT, LoA or Knock Knock would be anywhere near my top 8 Twice title tracks, but b-sides on their respective releases are some of my favorites. Only reason I kept coming back to their music.

I've never agreed that recent Twice b-sides are superior, in 2019 mzybe as Fancy and Feel Special are incredibly consistent in terms of b-side quality, but since then I think 2020 and 2021 are some of their weaker efforts. Most international fans just predictably prefer the western sound more.

Rv own the best discography among 3rd gen.

In terms of how many songs I actually like/play:

• Red Velv
• Twice

"Cry For Me" was the first song I 100% liked. Twice moved up a spot after releasing 'Formula of Love: O+T=＜3'

• Blackpink

I like all three

they each bring something different to the table...

I don't listen to Twice, but I stan RV and BP.

BP needs justice..

1. Twice - their discography is so diverse without feeling like they've changed too much. Every single song they've put out, they've still managed to keep the same Twice-y feel it has to it, whether more cute or more mature. I will forever be grateful for their variety, how good their Japanese tracks are and the tons and tons of actual songs to listen to.

2. Red Velvet - their discography is honestly so unique. From Russian Roulette to Bad Boy and everything in between, it's some of the most diverse discography out there. My only complaint is I'm actually not that big a fan of their dual concept. It makes their discography a bit confusing and not something I would binge through despite having a lot of tracks. I will say that they execute both concepts really well. Also not sure how I feel about the choruses with all of them singing at once.

3. Blackpink - they have potential but the fact that they have very little to judge from compared to the massive size of Red Velvet and Twice's discography is honestly so sad. Their songs are so good and addicting, one of the reasons I still stan them. Their b-sides are impeccible...just not a big fan of how the choruses feel so empty but everything surrounding it sounds so good. Sad that such a great discography is not much more than 2 hours long of straight listen.

1. When it comes to bsides barely any group can reach RV. They have many genres mixed on their Bsides and they can have some high and lows just like their title tracks but their overall output is great. You can't say they don't experiment.

2. Twice has always had good bsides but I feel they weren't as many highs as in RV's case. Twice also had their run of great title tracks having so many comebacks.

3. BP isn't very much to my liking nowadays when it comes to title tracks, most of their bsides have been way better than what they end up releasing as TTs. Unluckily you can give much of an opinion when they haven't released that much songs overall. I definitely think they to give more diversity.

Blackpink's just hit differently. Even with the small discography, I would say that every single song issa bop.

Red Velvet? I haven't listened much to them but I've heard some nice songs. Psycho has got to be one of the best kpop releases I've heard, which should place them above Twice.

For Twice, I haven't really listened much to their discography as well, but I've quite liked some of their more recent releases.

twice ranking first is a given, they're my ult group for a reason. i love their title tracks 90% of the time, there's good bsides from every album i love and their japanese discography is just as good as their korean one.

red velvet ranks 2nd. i like 42 of their songs on spotify specifically. russian roulette and rookie are probably on my list of favorite kpop songs of all time. i'm not super into their entire discography as rnb and ballads aren't really my thing, but they have plenty of songs i enjoy!

blackpink ranks 3rd. aiiyl and playing with fire are songs listen to all the time, even now. they have so little songs i don't think you can say they even have a full discography. i'm not particularly into what music they do have, i only like 6 songs on spotify 🤷🏻‍♀️

Twice just has a lot of comebacks.

Blackpink: flawless, few skips but just too small

Red Velvet: a lot of skipable songs but the really really good ones I could play all day

BP edges out Twice purely because of consistency top to bottom. Both groups have S tier megabops at the top, but BP doesnt have a single title track i actively hate like Twice does (TT).
