I like to use 2nd gen idols as foils to prop up my own 4th gen faves (Izone Yuri vs SNSD Yuri for example). 
But i gotta admit that 2nd gen has some megabops for sure, songs that defined the era for me
Ugly by 2NE1. Maybe the best Kpop song of alltime 
Bangbangbang by Bigbang. Maybe the best BG song of alltime 
Tonight by Spica. The biggest underappreciated gem of 2nd gen.
So Hot by Wondergirls. I can't stop watching Twice's cover of it.
The Boys by SNSD. I literally discovered this through Izone's cover. It's a FANTASTIC song and the OG is just as good.
Rumpumpum by FX. I only watch the Izone version, Minju killed it, but FX deserves props for being the OG.
I'm sure there are a few more that belong here but this is all i got right now.
That was just me back in the day. I eat a more balanced diet now! 
I really wanted to include SNSD in this list, but I couldn't figure out what song. I feel like their impact is greater than any one single song. If this had been a list of top 10 groups that defined 2nd gen, they would be on there.
Hmm. I’m less familiar with a lot of 2nd Gen songs because the style often wasn’t for me and many of the iconic songs from this Gen I don’t care for. So here I’ve just gone with ten I really love even tho there are probably more popular options..
