Hyunjin has been more and more interested in writing and composing, It's been a while.
One thing I like about him is that when Hyunjin sets goals, he's really determined and go all in for that. Iirc, the first writing/producing credits Hyunjin had were "4419", "You" and the Mixtapes along with Stray Kids members during rookie days.
"Wow", a unit song by Danceracha, was released in 2020 where Hyunjin had writing credits along with Lee Know and Felix, but in the end of the year, he was able to release his very first self-composed song "Little Star" on SKZ-PLAYER project, as a tribute to his dog that passed away when he was a kid.
Since then, I think Hyunjin has been on a roll.
During 'Howl In Harmony' last year — a show where they were divided in units to create a song and It's concept from zero for 'Noeasy' — the Hwang and Bang Chan worked on "Red Lights", a track with both R&B/Rock-ish vibes and self-centered message about their own experiences on obsessions and confusion of ego. What ended up being another self-composed song by Hyunjin that was officially released.
Still on Howl on Harmony, he mentioned a few unreleased self-composed songs such as "Spring", "Beautiful" and "Sway". While during Chan's Room, Bang Chan mentioned he and Hyunjin love Waltz, so they are trying to work on a Waltz song together. Not to mention, the R&B song they've been promising, but this is story for another day....
December last year, Stray Kids released "#LoveSTAY", the first Stray Kids-ot8-song 3RACHA doesn't have credits on production and/or writing! Because It was also self-composed by Hyunjin. He made the song to express his gratitute for their fans' love and support through the years.
Some hours ago, Hyunjin revealed he's working on a love song! So what we have news about are basically:
