If chanyeol had soso vocals he wouldn't be getting cast in actual musicals which are way difficult and actually live as compared to your kpop stages

If Aespa are average vocalists then the whole kpop industry except few other SM groups are literally even worse than weak singers

Wonyoung is actually a pretty great dancer was recognized by professionals for her presence even in pd48

Chanyeol is popular because of his personality, there are other members who fit the Korean visual standard better than him who are less popular. Also, he's a very good musician, that just isn't showcased very often in the idol world.

If you think Aespa are weak 4th gen singers, who do you consider strong 4th gen singers? My feeling is that vocal talent is declining overall in kpop, but Winter and Ningning are both solid, and Karina and Giselle have some good technique with natural vibrato as well. Most groups, even in 2nd and 3rd gen, have at least half the members being weaker singers than everyone in Aespa.

Chanyeol isn't even the person who fits the korean beauty standard the best in exo. There are members who fit it better but aren't as popular. I think he's more popular because of his personality. He just has a personality that draws you in and seems very friendly and funny.

Aespa are solid vocalists. There aren't many 4th gen groups that could beat them in vocals.

Jisoo isn't the best actor but she's not half bad. She's not winning any actor of the year award but I think she is a better actor than most idols. And how is Eunwoo better. You are right with his acting. He's only an actor because of his face. Not sure about his singing and dancing skills so won't comment on that.

her actress career is not something I'm too much into, but for what I've seen Jisoo's acting is much better than I expected. I think is pretty decent for a rookie actually.

While it's an unacknowledged, often underrated talent, charm and facial expressiveness is actually a very important trait on stage and for an idol, one that can have huge power and impact, and idols like Wonyoung, Karina and Winter are actually extremely adept with it, even top tier.

Which isn't the same as beauty or looks, but more akin to acting and stage presence. It's the whole reason why the role of 'center' is such a big thing in j-pop (and to a lesser degree in k-pop and c-pop), the ability to draw the attention of the crowd and pull them in isn't a talent that everyone has at the same level.

As for Aespa's vocals, sorry, but they can sing better than the majority of other idols
