I can say, from experience... you need to be careful what you wish for. Even working for a band, I never met the ONE person I had wanted to since I started in the business... and now, I'm glad I didn't.

Okay... I can't in all actuality. I had my own promotion company, so I'm used to working with musicians/artists/dancers... etc... It's what I've seen others go through.

That's so cool. But I think I get what you mean. A lot of people get to meet the ones they dreamt about and end up being disappointed. They create high expectations and scenarios in their head that don't match the reality. That happens even with regular people, now imagine in the entertainment industry that is all about illusion. But like you said, there's exceptions. I'm not desperate to meet my faves. It's weird but as much as i love and care about them I don't think it's necessary for me to meet them in person, face to face. I know at the end of the day they're just regular people like you and me.

Yes... HOWEVER... you mean a great deal to anyone and everyone you care for. If it wasn't for you, they wouldn't be who they are. More often than not, they are afraid of letting you down. (If that makes any sense?)
