Who do you think are the best performers among the Top 5 Girl Groups today?

4th gen has very weak performers. Voted for lsfm, but they are close with gidle.

Itzy is the best though.

I voted Aespa. After their tour they improved 10000% and this can be seen with their performances.

No offense to anyone, but this ain't even a competition. Gidle leading the race by a massive margin. Aespa is not bad, but nothing special. LSF can dance, but that's all they can do, and FOR ME that's not a performance!

IVE is a typical girl group, nothing ordinary, and NewJeans, well, I hardly see anything from them, let alone live performances.

Gidle is the most versatile and creative group in the 4th gen for sure.

BABYMONSTER

NewJeans cause they go underrated choreo. LSF would have been my choice if not for their vocal difficulties.

Well this would change from comeback to comeback. Hence better to go with statistics and impact.

New Jeans simply has shifted the game massively since debut and particularly in 2023, their impact does not seem to be faded in 2024 either. MHJ really can change/reset trends in the industry.

So at this point they lead the game.

Ive seem to have lost the mojo they had in 2022/23.

Aespa have had a spectacular comeback.

(G)-IDLE is kind of an outlier, they are not the typical GG, non-conformist/maverick vibes. Will that sustain?

LSF seems slated to play the role Red Velvet played in 3rd gen.

They’re all pretty weak I can’t say any performance by them has been “wow”. They don’t feel significantly better than each other except maybe LSFM who are the weakest and when they lip sync I guess they’re all about the same.

I'll give it too (G)I-DLE, though I've only seen them and IVE in person and for IVE only at their very first performance before a live audience after COVID. I'm sure LSF is grear but Soyeon is someone that stands out even when you are watching her from a nosebleed seat.

lsfrm and itzy fall in the same category with itzy being more stable bc they have more experience thru touring so they are n1

aespa has gotten better but they still a bit meh smth, winter improvement its notable tho, she stealing nn thunder, ive last bc I dont think I eve rewatch a perf by them ever, they just bland

and nj is a mix of each , their dance help make the performance more dinamic but their faces are o.o many imes to let it pass

aespa definitely have the best chart performance in 2024 I would say it's their biggest year if we are talking about songs released in 2024 only..

or we are talking about them as performers? Gidle probably but I woudl say aespa have gotten better

Soyeon is the best performer

I put heavy weight on vocals so then it will be Aespa for me, cuz I enjoy and live through live vocals! Even their Savage live performance at Coachella was fantastic! So yeah Aespa

Strong disagree with that analogy.

For example a group that has a couple of great dancers(or even singers really) but select choreography/songs that showcases those skills really well and the other performers perform to their best ability and stay within their range will be infinitely better than a group that’s average on the whole. Ofc there are nuances here as well but that statement really isn’t something universal and depends on how groups go about incorporating the talents.

Interesting development. Around 10 months ago the results would look differently...

Does perception of success also influence how ppl react to a stage or did the groups gain success in part due to improved performance I wonder

If all 5 of them sing live + choreo = G(idle)

If all 5 of them lipsync + choreo = LSF

Idle choreography is simple, but they have stage presence. Also, it helps that they sing live and have strong vocalists. At the moment they're ahead of the other groups

I think there's potential with Le Sserafim because choreography wise they're ahead of the other 4. However, they need to figure out selecting songs that work for them when performing live. I think that's how some of their recent issues happened. Kazuha is the dark horse to fix some of their issues when singing live

Aespa does seem well rounded these days and each member gets their time to shine. I think they just need to sing live more because whenever I watch them they're usually lip syncing. Maybe it's bad luck of watching certain performances on YouTube.

Ive seems most improved from where they were at last year. I enjoy watching Yujin perform and I think Wonyoung improved a lot. Liz vocals are amazing and she's always giving it her all. I am just happy the group is no longer Wonyoung and friends and they each get their time to shine

I haven't watched many of NewJeans performances to form a solid opinion of them. From what I have seen it seems a bit mixed. Some of their earlier performances it seemed they weren't that confident. However, they seemed to have improved when I've watched their recent stuff. The highlight for the group for me is Hanni. I think she's well rounded and helps their performances a lot. I could be wrong about some of these stuff because I haven't watched many of their performances.

Finally, I will say too bad this is just top 5 GGs because Nmixx imo are the best overall performers

In terms of dance, I find Le Ssearafim's dance choreographies very enjoyable to watch because they dance fully synchronized and powerful. Vocally Aespa. Gidle has something from both of them. Among these three; In fact, Gidle has been consistent and the best in live performances from the very beginning. Even though I like Aespa, I think Gidle is one step ahead in terms of charisma. Soyeon's charisma is so overwhelming in live performance. A true natural performer.

ITZY

Singing live vocals and stage presence is G-Idle. If you ever caught their live performance during Queendom, you know they are a force to be reckoned with

hard to say bc every group has bad and great performers. You can be someone like Yujin who has incredible stage presence but are let down by other member's shortcomings.

Gidle or IVE. The rest doesn't impress me

Probably G-idle, on how they approach every performance. the rest of 4 can't even differentiate. Maybe Aespa or NJ? No to Lsf and I've.

Gidle, their performance skills was what made me pay attention to them in the first place when I saw them perform at the Melon music awards in their rookie year.

Their performances at both MAMA and MMA this year were by far the best of any act in my opinion, because they were performing live and they performed really well.
