2:30min+ you are barely cutting corners but that’s ok

Less than 2minutes should be a crime especially if it ain’t an interlude, intro or outro

I think 1.52sec is fine.

Even 30 sec like Get Up is fine.

Depends on the type of song.

Some songs that maintain the same mood for its entirety don't need to be too long otherwise they'll sound too repetitive.

It really depends on the song. Good songs should be at least 3:30 unless it can feel complete (or serves a poetic purpose) of it to be shorter than that. Anything else can do whatever.

Obviously Kpop cant do this since the idols would be dead after dancing for 8 minutes straight. But this megabop show how AWESOME longer songs can be.

Same with Blackpink's Boombaya, shit is actually 4 minutes long, that's an eternity for Kpop. That's why it's the best Kpop song ever made .

generally a song should have verse - prechorus - chorus - verse - prechorus - chorus - bridge - chorus

total of 2 verse, 2 prechorus, 3 chorus, 1 bridge

or if youre creative you can rearrange the sequence and still make a bop, not a floppy mess

It depends on the song, honestly. For me, it has to be at least 3 minute long.

I know SOLAR's RAW is just an Intro, basically, but I think this song is THE best example when you have a freakin' amazing and cool song, but you can only listen to the half of it. 💀 I'm still banging the wall for the full version!🤣 If I want to be controversial, Tiktok ruined Kpop, or Youtube or Instagram. I don't know which one started this whole dance challenge trend.

But then again, here's this EPIC cover, that's only 2:10 minute long, and sure I'm biased, but I don't think I ever heard a better (COVER) song in Kpop.🤣

I want to hear proper song structure with verses, chorus, bridge and instrumental. I'm okay with any length that has that. But that's definitely above 3 minutes.

Some bts examples:

Spring day is 4:34

Pied piper 4:06

Home is 3;54

Also, there are some exceptions that work without bridge such as black swan which is perfection.

4 to 5 minutes

3 can work and is fine, but almost all 3 minutes songs will only have time for two pairs of choruses and verses followed by a bridge and the ending chorus

Less than 3 minutes probably means a lack of bridge

Between 3:30-4:30 I think is the best, but better too long than too short. When it's shorter than 3 minutes it starts to be too short, and anything shorter than 2:30 is a bit pointless song.

Basicly some girl who is into JPop Dmed me on Discord and said "You listen to JPop right? I need to tell you that they all make too long music" the named artists she gave have no song shorter than 3:30 and about 3/4 of the songs are over 4:00 and I was seeing the longest song was 5:20 and thought "thats not that long, whats her problem with this?" and she said she cannot stand long songs to focus on the songs and I'm like "what?"

3:30!!!! anything lower is a crime and i will not accept it!!

i mean i'll still listen if it's good but it's sooo disappointing when it's a good song that's only 2 minutes
