Well, Soojin didn't really get proven innocent. She was not proven guilty either. Nothing was ever proven. That's why it remained something very fuzzy that everyone can project whatever prejudice they have onto.
Soojin left because her reputation was so damaged it was irredeemable. (G)I-DLE as a whole was in jeopardy.

Scandals like this can literally ruin a group’s reputation, not only did G-idle not uphold the same level of popularity as they do nowadays, but their company was also less known. Scandals like these can ruin reputations of bands with the best sales and records, let alone smaller groups.. unfortunately G-idle was in jeopardy, and cube had to let Soojin go.

To please the public. If she had stayed, GIDLE would probably ended up being on a long hiatus or disbanded. So they had to make a decision. You are guilty as long as the public deemed it, evidence or not.
All those people who orchestrated and bullied her to leave the group, are probably the same people who is now following her on IG and saying things like 'I miss you Queen'. Fucking Disgusting.
I hope that she's not blacklisted, and can do many challenges with her old colleagues.

And I was like ??? It is totally normal for teenagers to argue with their friends sometimes and be besties again the next day.
That made me think the whole thing was dumb.
There are too many bullying allegations against idols that turned out to be false or about nothing.
