Like many others said she is technically not doing anything that other idols haven't done and wearing things other idols have worn. It's literally some kind of body shaming to tell her to not do this, I'm pretty sure.

Of course she does know what she is doing and I don't blame her for it. Like many mentioned her sales declined, as did many other soloists/groups recently. She is doing what she can to advance her career and obviously releasing absolute bangers and being a great performer wasn't enough considering the trajectory of her career before this newfound success.

The fact of the matter is she's gotten 2-3 times more variety appearances and on far bigger shows than before after Waterbomb. Her charting has also been steady improving. She's at an age where she does not have that many years left as an idol, most likely. Of course she should make the most of it using whatever means possible. I don't think there's any downside or 'cheapening' of her as an idol since the quality of her music and performances is top tier. I'm just glad she's getting more attention now.

I don't think the recent comeback would reflect the sales from converting GP attention into new core fans yet. If anything the next comeback should have increased sales.

Well, she got the goods and looks absolutely stunning, so why shouldn't she make use of her strengths that work in her favor: it's hard for a soloist to stay in the picture and thrive, so it makes sense she'll grab any opportunity that boosts her presence to the general audience and that can make her go viral again.

The longevity of "hot" female idols is extremely short. Examples at the top level were Hyuna, Sumni, Chunga.

They need to strike when they get their opportunity, because if an idol is lucky they may only get one or two in a career.

Just like for a group, once sales growth declines, it then plateaus and then drops and then its over.

The other option is a great quality song. But its unlikely in this day, because a company will want to buy all rights, and the composer isn't going to sell all rights if its a banger.

I mean, yeah she's definitely doing it more on purpose. We all know idols always search themselves up and there's no way she doesn't know what kind of reactions she's getting on social media. Every show she goes on talks about how she's the new Waterbomb Queen and how trendy she is.

No hate to her tho, she's gotta make a living and this is like a golden opportunity that she's got in her hands. Before this, she really wasn't making much noise in terms of the general fans and only some Kpop fans who know her as ex-Iz*One Kwon Eunbi.

The only thing I will point out is that, she's gotta break out of this mold at some point, because all trends come and go and people will eventually lose interest in her waterbomb schtick.
