Do you prefere kpop groups having predebut eras with introductions or a sudden debut like New Jeans?

Pre debut eras are for company Stan’s and useless for everyone else IMO.

My fav gotten a sudden debut and it worked for them

but its good to keep in mind it only works if they are from big agencies

so big agencies -> sudden

small agencies -> let them take it slow

Not everyone can debut out of the blue. But for exemple BABY MONSTER introductions are pointless and long because either way they would’ve been famous.

i will only look at their mv if hey have pre debut stuff anywayz

I like survival shows but other predebut stuff can be skipped. Even then I’ll most likely watch it only if I already like the group

I never look at predebut stuff until after the debut and well into stanning around a comeback or two so I don't really care. Didn't watch P1harmony' predebut movie until Do it like this came out. I am still catching up on what in the world happened in the green room with SVT predebut

predebut is probably good for building individual trainee reputation like how chaeryeong and yeji did. Somi too before her days in I.O.I

I definitely prefer with some pre debut content. I loved the way exo, kard and loona debuted.

Teasers are nice but whatever Baby monster is having is too much

I personally like introduction vids it saves me a lot of time in terms of knowing if I'm gonna be interested in stanning the group or not bc I can see their skills from the very beginning.

I lost interest in other groups later because I realize they weren't what I thought they were or were lacking in some areas

I didn't see before. It might be boring for some groups but I like these kind of content maybe because getting content is not something I always get with my faves lol

One of the things that I hate the most in Kpop is getting hyped for a debut through these pre-debut teasers going on for months and then the debut song doesn't meet my standarts or is bad.

Like, just debut - If the song is good and you are a talented group, people would want to get to know you duirng your promotions

I guess I'm ok with just one short teaser a month before the debut date

i think if there's going to be predebut intros it should be quick and like...a week before the actual debut, not drawn out over several months. it's boring af and takes too long

I think they should have debut teasers just like comeback teasers, so you know what kind of music they will make. It's just like a trailer.

If you only mean predebut covers and introductions (not regular photo and video teasers for the debut song). Then I think the basis of the question is kind of pointless cause they don't expect most of the audience to watch that in the first place, it's ONLY for the people that prefer/are interested in that. So I don't wish they would stop or something, cause I can't really think of anything better for them to post.

Pre introduction so you know who the group is and the members.

Since knowing the KQ-trainees I really want to know when they are finally going to debut

But on the other hand Beat Interactive opend up a trainee-account on Instagram 2 months ago and still has not mentioned at least one trainee so I just want to know who the damn people are

The difference here is KQ could've allready made the next big thing out of their trainees if they had debuted allready since people were allready hyped to know that ATEEZ will have a little brother group, while on the other side people most likly don't know Beat Interactive and therefore don't even know A.C.E or Forestella and so letting people wait for a group that most likly can't even sell at the end while the other groups allready don't make much money ....

I see debut when they start performing on music shows and do official schedules like variety and radio shows.

I prefer when companies let the music speaks for itself but it’s also nice to have pre-release songs like RBW does or videos showcasing the members talent. I don’t care about photo teasers though especially when I don’t know the idols.
