….but itzy dissapoints with every comeback and it doesn’t help that jyp debuted NMIXX which has some vocal powerhouses to eclipse itzy more 
Jyp desperately need to give itzy a good song like dalla dalla, wannabe
And try to promote Yuna so she can reclaim her spot as one of the top visual because she's trending a lot during year end ceremony but not so much the rest of the year
And with big name like Wonyoung, Karina, Winter, Kazuha getting a lot of attention for their visual + newjeans and future gg it'll be harder if they wait
The 4th gen dominance they established in their debut Dalla Dalla has slowly vanquished over time and I feel like less and less people are talking about them w/every comeback. I liked Sneakers, but I didn't *love* Sneakers, and with stiff fierce competition like Aespa they're slowly losing more and more relevancy and the excitement around them is gone.
Tho their YouTube views they gained 70mil views faster than any other 4th gen girl group MV with Sneakers, including Girls.
The problem with itzy is the music, they are hands down the best performers of the 4th gen, and were so promising at debut.
I think jyp needs to give them better music and focus on their strength of performance with really cool choreo and a catchy tune.
I think they can rise again, it’s honestly just the very kids boppish music isn’t serving them

Is because in comparison of their debut year/wannabe the only 4th gen groups they had to compete with were idle and izone
But since their debut year a lot of 4th gen group debuted with groups like aespa, ive, stayc, lesserafim,newjeans who are groups who get a lot of attention in chart or in term of fandom size
People have more new blood right now to choose a new group to stan so they go for groups who fit them more in comparison of 2019 where only 3 groups had pretty much the monopole of attention for 4th gen group

Okay lets be serious now, ITZY will be okay. They are the (4thgen) girlgroup with the most content I think.For example compare AESPA and ITZY content wise. ITZY are overworking going to many shows, doing tiktok things etc. Public it's hard to forget it. If they fix their songs a little bit they will go huge.

They did not push itzy as hard as they pushed twice, also the song quality gone down per each release.
Doesnt help when new JYP GG NMIXX debut. I bet JYP will focus more on NMIXX given that they already had a strong start in physical. They just need a good song to get the GP attention and they will be top 5

LSRF, IVE and NMIXX can easily surpass them given that their last release was debut album (for IVE is 2nd single album only)
It's an escalating kpop arms race at this point. Twice, Blackpink and possibly IVE will beat that number next month and Twice/BP may even beat the Aespa one as well.
EVERY group releasing this year is having their best/highest sales ever, even Weeekly's really poorly received comeback was their personal highest sales.

4th gen remind me of 2nd gen overall so there is no need for some to fall, there is enough market for like 6 top ggs, people are just used to 3rd gen when only big 3 ggs and Mamamoo made any kind of lasting wave (+ Gfriend for a short time) but 2nd gen had SNSD, Wonder Girls, Kara, 2NE1, Sistar and T-ara, plus some other big ones like 4Minute and F(x).
bottom line is they need good music. theyre all so talented & pretty, they have the best stage presence for a 4th gen GG imo but the music just isn't up to par. they're musicians who release music who if they dont release GOOD music what exactly are you going to stan? there's a big chance that they could fall behind newer, rising groups if this keeps up and its a dshame

the standard for top group now has changed a lot since following the expansion of kpop. Nowadays you need to have sales, korean charting, international charting, touring, cfs etc to be top group. These standards set high by Blackpink & Twice. While in 2nd gen u see Sistar can become top group only with korean charting. Ofc they will still be successful because of sales, touring etc but if they keep underperforming in korean and international charting (ex. melon and spotify) i dont think they will be considered top group, korean gp is fickle these days so its hard to have consistent hits these days
