name groups that have more vocal line than their dance line

i am so tired of recent girl groups that have only 1 or 2 members as the vocal line

kpop is shifting towards performance-focused path rather than vocal-focused group

as for the thread, can you name any groups that has more than half members with vocal line than dance line

for example, if the group is 5-membered, then at least 3 of them are in the vocal line

or if the group is 12-membered, then at least 6 of them are vocally capable

i can think of some groups that fit the description such as,

red velvet - wendy seulgi joy

iz*one - yuri eunbi yena chaeyeon chaewon yujin

loona - chuu haseul jinsoul kim lip heejin yves choerry

what do you guys think ? is there any more groups that fits the description ?

but honestly if u put SNSD dance line to sing can beat a lot of vocal lines of the 3rd and 4th gen lol

I don't think kpop is shifting towards performance based vs vocal based - it's always been that way. The biggest groups are not necessarily the strongest vocalists.

To name specific groups, EXO, NCT (all units, esp NCT 127), Purple Kiss, Mamamoo, The Boyz. I'm sure someone who's a bigger multi can probably go on for quite a bit - I don't think it's an anomaly at all. It's not every group certainly, but I don't think there's a decline there.

I agree. Even in a group like Ateez which is often labeled as a performance group... they only have 5 in the dance/performance line, but 6 members who vocalists. (Funnily enough, 4/5 of the performance line? They're also vocalists!)

I feel like it's more of a case where they're getting more rappers and vocalists who are also very capable dancers so we're seeing bigger dance lines sometimes.

Like in the past, I feel like it's mostly a case of the vocals/rappers and the dancers being different people (especially in groups of 6+) outside of that one (or two) members who could do both, but as kpop has grown I feel like it's more common to find almost the whole group as a high level dancer.

The ones that come to my mind are Mamamoo (Solar, Wheein, Hwasa), Dreamcatcher (JiU, SuA, Siyeon and Yoohyeon) and Purple Kiss (Goeun, Swan, Chaein).
