Collecting NMIXX Jinni photocards is SO Tiring

    Just want to rant cause im a bit tired of buying nmixx albums just to get Jinni's photocards


    I like Jinni a lot, so I try to collect every of her photocards including preorder benefits from all stores. But Jinni is the most demanded one, so no one is really selling her photocards or willing to trade with other less popular members like Jiwoo, Bae, Lily or even Kyujin..


    There are so many lucky draw, pob events ongoing for nmixx ad mare

    -soundwave fansign/lucky draw 1, 2 (2pc), 3 (2 pc)

    I usually have to buy 7 albums from each store jsut to get the Jinni photocard and try to sell the other members off. Then I unseal the album and sell the photocards to recoup some cost (bad luck if I dont get Jinni or Sullyoon). The loose album i just try to dispose off for around USD2 - and even this price not many will want it


    Just want to share the pain of collecting popular member(s). Being photocard collector is sometimes pain in the a** but yea.. it is satisfying when u collected all. And, this preorder/fansign/luckydraw benefit tactic really works wonder for kpop album sales.


    edit: this is my first time collecting photocards for a group with so many pob/fansign pc. Usually, blackpink and aespa have limited as they only sell on limited stores.

    isn't it better to re-sell album with photocards included? I mean those not needed, then you will just have that one album left, the one which had Jinni's photocard

    those who buy photocard loose are usually looking for photocards which they didnt pull.

    Yes, Jinni is the most demanded followed by Sullyoon. In contrast to what many thinks here, Lily is actually the least demanded. Her pc worths only 1/4 of Jinni's. Kyujin also, she isnt highly demanded despite her popularity in korea

    Yeah not a fan but since I'm on many collectors groups I saw lily selling for like $1, Bae for $2 while jinni and sullyoon go for around $9. It's a drastic difference, I feel bad for fans of overpriced idols who are way more in demand than their bandmates. I only remember astro prices being that bad.

    Not OP, but from what I saw on gcs:

    Sullyoon and jinni are top 2, at debut SY was a bit higher on price but now it seems to be jinni

    Haewon, Kyujin and Jiwoo prices are around the same level, it changes a bit depending on how pretty the pc is

    Bae sells for $2-$3

    And Lily is sometimes being send as a gift/extra :-(

    Thank you for the clarification. Just based on fancams, I knew Jinni and Sullyoon were probably top. Surprised Jinni at times sells more than Sullyoon, but there are some idols who are just really popular in the fandom while maybe another idol is more popular with the GP. Though, I think Jinni's popularity will grow. I have seen a lot of people pushing the SullJin pair.


    I also knew Bae and Lily were probably lower in popularity due to fancam views. It's crazy to me how Lily's popularity plummeted though. Most people I know were only interested in NMIXX because of her.

    They have the potential to be a powerful duo like Sulli and Krystal or winter and karina, and yes it seems that Jinni will be one of these idols who have a big popularity among fans/collectors even bigger than the most popular member. Kinda like Wonyoung and Yujin pcs selling for less than Liz and Leeseo's despite the popularity gap

    And I think lily case is like stayc sieun, the most popular member for predebut and known by non fans but inside the fandom she sells the cheapest

    Thankfully SM doesn't release the different pcs per stores yet but they started doing lucky draws and merch with random pcs for nct so I'm also restricting my budget for jungwoo now ;(

    dont worry. Buying aespa from sm sgs is already like lucky draw in first place. Most are just aiming for Winter and Karina. If you get Ningning or Giselle, too bad, u probably not able to sell them at decent price. And u need to pay like 3 to 10 times for a Karina / Winter ones. For example, Bowrina or Karina with Rabbit POB basically are easilg selling at USD100 while giselle's at USD10

    I'm actually collecting aespa album pcs (ningning and Karina) and thankfully Karina savage pcs have decreased in price a lot. They used to be above $15 the first weeks of release but now her price isn't as drastic, going below $10 for most of the time. Ningning is selling even cheaper than Giselle in korea now so it's easy to collect her lol they both are around $4-$5


    but the special pcs like fansigns and merch are another story, and the ones from the SM album are crazy overpriced. Karina and Winter pcs go for above $30 each...

    It's also very interesting to see the difference in other groups, you see SNSD Sunny selling for $3 while Taeyeon and Yoona for $10, Joy and Yeri being below $15 while Irene above $80...

    Not always the case but yeah it happens a lot, even with bgs it's very obvious (like the gap among cha eunwoo/moonbin and the rest of astro) Something out of the norm is itzy lia being the cheapest and selling for less than Chaeryeong (someone who doesn't fit korea's beauty standards as much as Lia), I think this happened even before her bullying rumors so idk what caused her to be the member with smallest fandom

    Lia (no offense) in my opinion is the best vocal but the worst performer in tbe group. So ITZY being a group highly praised for dance, she is bound to have the least followers/fans. But of course I think it differs according to region.


    E.g. Ningning price lower than giselle in korea but ningning is higher in China and other regions. Even in Japan itself, giselle photocards are selling at the lowest price among the 4. Winter is most expensive in Korea (except Bowrina and rabbit sgs)

    You could try japan mercari, i preach this alot because well you don't wanna know how much i spent alone on Sunyoul pc's. but yeah. I find everything there and it's usually cheap. i don't even have to buy a ton of albums. the problem is they allow buyee as their partner for proxy and buyee is hella expensive. but if you want it bad enough it's the way to go. and Neokyo uses rakuma or "fril" and you can also sometimes find things there.

    I do use mercari but they're usually more expensive than buying the albums directly with POBs. Buying from mercari just save the trouble but again, if youre buying photocards of the popular members (e.g. Jinni, Karina, Winter), they usually cost much more than buying albums

    hmm strange because i have actually found Ateez San Photocards for $30 on there that would cost me $80 using american mercari. I guess it's hit or miss, i usually just check once a day. I guess Up10tion not being as highly popular as NMIXX could make a huge difference in price. I hope you are able to get all that you're missing though!

    Fancam popularity has always boil down to general public interest cause the views are not only from fans but from people that are interested to check out the idol. Sullyoon is currently making some noises regarding her visuals so it is expected.


    When comes to photocards, it is about how many hardcore fans the idol has. Jinni obviously have the most hardcore fans alongside Sullyoon. Sullyoon is more expensive in Korea and Japan,but in SEA, Jinni is much more expensive.


    Another analogy is - Momo and Lisa are great performers, their fancam usually have highest views. But unfortunately their PCs are cheaper than other members like Nayeon/Tuzyu and Jennie/Jisoo. So fancam views wont translate directly into photocard price

    Quite insightful--I think that makes sense. I don't collect photocards myself, but I do find the process a bit fascinating.


    Also, I will note that fancam views can trend up or down with time. For example, in the earliest individual fancams I found, Lily actually had the highest views, but her views quickly declined in subsequent fancams. On the other hand, Haewon's fancam views have been rising steadily, but I don't know why. Sullyoon, meanwhile, has been consistently strong right from the beginning.

    It must be that, maybe her style isn't attractive to the fans itzy have, I think she would do better in a less performance-focused group, isn't like she is lacking anything else.


    Winter prices are crazy, her savage pcs are stil above $10 .

    But like u said, it also depends on regions, Karina must be the one with higher prices in China for example. Just like Kepler members where the highest selling member seems to change according to the country.


    I prefer when that happens because it doesn't feel like someone is being left out, they just have different markets.

    It's sadder when there's one member

    selling the cheapest everywhere, like nobody wants their pcs ...
