Is the phrase "my g" racist?

I've heard my friends call me or others my girl/guy or my man/woman I'm not sure about "my g" tho I've definitely heard it before as a short form for my guy in Instagram posts and stuff but it's not as common irl ig. Idk much about this tbh.

There are a lot of things I take a varied stance on but….No I don’t believe language usage can be controlled like this. Even if it has roots in specific dialects/Languages/culture, people cannot feel protective over it.

No lol. I grew up with people of all colors that would call me and other friends “my g” all the time. It’s just a term of endearment for besties and friends, usually standing for my guy/girl.

At best it’s cringe if you don’t usually say it like someone mentioned, but it doesn’t surprise me that Jake, a native Australian and English speaker would use that lol.
