TWICE, when they started out, instantly became CF rookie queens. But what I find really interesting is how every year, they've always had at least one endorsement for one videogame or another. It really helps establish their brand image as the friendly girls next door that you can hang out and play with.
Starting with pre-debut, Nayeon and Jeongyeon were in the CFs for the Nintendo Wii "Just Dance 2" in 2011:
Then, two months after their debut, the whole group was tapped to film a CF for Nexon's "Elsword" (an action-platformer beat-em-up) in Dec 2015:
In Feb of 2016, Mina was invited to be a playtester for a new character to be released in Elsword and surprised the game creators with how well she did:
In 2016, they also filmed CFs for various other Nexon multiplayer games, including:
"Legion of Heroes - Destiny update":
Character skins and voiceovers for "Sudden Attack", a multiplayer FPS game (for several years). Here are a few videos of them recording voice lines and posing for characters:
(when they first debuted):
(2017 Christmas version):
And this is what they look and sound like within the game:
They also filmed CFs for "Lost Tale" in 2017:
(Behind the scenes interview and making film eng sub here)
In 2018, in addition to their regular Nexon sponsorships, TWICE focused on promoting SuperStar JYPNATION, a mobile rhythm game. Here's Mina absolutely killing it with "Like Ooh-Ahh":
(see here for the full version of all the members trying it).
EDIT: In Dec 2018, TWICE also launched TWICE Go-Go Fighting!, a Japanese Match-3 puzzle game for mobile:
In 2019, they endorsed "DX: War of the New Century", a third-person MMORPG:
In 2020, they created avatars for ZEPETO, an online multi-user platform for social interactions and casual games:
And in 2021, they recorded another new version of skins and voiceovers for "Sudden Attack":
And are also advertising for the Nintendo Switch (as a gaming platform):
From Nayeon and Jeongyeon advertising for Nintendo in 2011, it's now come full-circle back to Nintendo in 2021, 10 years later. Wonder what 2022 holds for these gamer girls?
