I think it has to escalate enough in order for it to happen ig.
If it flops, there probably won't be any.
This thread better not flop

By what metric?
If you mean Bilboard, the US is not the rest of the world so to me that does count.
YT views?
Twice:
That's 5 billion more for BP which would translate into roughly 3.5 mil more revenue.
YT algorithm pays depending on length of video, country from where the video is viewed from, and it starts at like 1c per 100 views.
Sales wise? BP has about 5.6 mil albums sold (please correct me if I'm wrong) and Twice has over 10 mil.
That would translate into about what? 80~90 milions? If we average an album at 20 dollars.
Tours wise? They are very similar. I remember doing the math for it last year and BP had about 1 mil more in revenue from tickets but more avenues visited so profit could have been lower. Nobody has access to those figures so to me, I would call it for BP with 1 mil.
I do not understand one thing though. I love both groups. I like their music, their members and their personalities. Why start such a thread when you know it's going to get people to defend their faves one way or another?

Just to quickly talk about this, Kworb limited a bunch of the top artist's so their view count on Kworb only count musical content. BLACKPINK are pretty much limited to MVs, Dances, Performances and Behind The Scenes on Kworb. TWICE have most, if not all content types counted (including content from both the JYP Channel and TWICE's channel).
BLACKPINK's actual total is 17.9B.

did AKP mature finally? :) Are we no longer fighting over a weak troll thread?

internationally?
I mean they are really talented and pretty. Then why they couldn't get big in the west?
Discuss
Twice doesn't have the it factor to reach western market. They are also more like cute concept which the west don't do. I might sound harsh but Twice can't sing and main singers are decent singers. Nayeon said it herself she need to lay down to reach the high notes in I can't stop me.

So that would be around 10 mil then total?
The members Insta's are what is pulling in the big bucks tho. I remember seeing an article on another site and the top 5 were all BP from their sponsorships. Rose was twice.
Crazy to even think about it :) Take a pictorial with a bag or whatever and pull in like 80-90 million dollars just for likes. Online content does bring the bucks!

it’s why I like seeing the YouTuber and Models drag, like those girls are being paid so much for that stuff it’s not the drag people think it is.
It’s also only a drag to kpop stans like haha they don’t release 5 EPs a year.

it’s just MVs and dance practice vids now so it doesn’t include performances or behind the scenes

They’re trying to insult them by calling them models or youtubers.

aaaahh, drag as in dragging them down, when they are making the money :)
Yeah I feel you. Drag them down whilst watching their video :P
It's only gonna give them more money.

Lisa alone get 5 million from just vareityshow but some Kpop fans still talking about albums sell that make way more less profits.

Mate, I am in no way trying to downplay how much they earn individually. They are doing a very good job and they are being paid accordingly. And I am very happy to see that. What I was trying to say is that both groups are very successful at what they do. And they earn a lot.
All my beef is with YG for not giving BP more albums. But eh, can't change history.

I like both so it's all good either way

The nicest thing you’ve ever said about Twice.
-
Because most girls would choose to be a BP member over a Twice member.
Also Twice have terrible songs and their fans are weird.
