Why don't Japanese Kpop idols interact with other Japanese Kpop idols from different groups?

yuta(nct) and yuto(pentagon) are basically besties

I know that U from ONF is friends with Sana and Momo and there was at least a pre-debut pic since U is a former JYP trainee if that counts

Other than that I can only give you Japanese KPop-idols meeting JPop-idols as for example U of ONF posted last year how happy he was meeting the Japanese group JO1, Shotaro of NCT did 2 TikTok-videos with Keigo of JO1, Yuta of NCT promoted with some JPop-idols when he was in a Japanese movie last year where the main actors (where he was one of them) made the OST-song together and than did some stage-things to promote the movie together and these JPop-idols were Ryoki from BE:FIRST and Kazuma & Hokuto from THE RAMPAGE and I met people online who said that Kazuma apparently adopted Yuta now . Than Shogo of INI said he was friends with Yuto of PENTAGON since Shogo is a former CUBE trainee and Shion of JO1 is a friend of Soul from P1harmony since Shion is a former FNC trainee. When Japanese KPop-idols apear in Japanese TV and therefore take pics with JPop-idols that are also on the same show. When the Japanese group GENERATIONS was in Korea 5 years ago and took pics with TWICE where GENERATIONS-member Yuta and Sana even knew eachother before since Yuta used to be her dance teacher. That one pre-debut video where Rikimaru from WARPs UP used to be the dance teacher of Niki from ENHYPEN,... and so on

But for other Japanese KPop-idols meeting Japanese KPop-idols I can only think of stuff when they are in the same group as for example TFN has 4 Japanese members (Kio, Leo, Zero and Kairi)

Hm Yuto and Yuta was already mentioned but we also have to realize friends in kpop often happen if the groups often cross paths with each other and have common schedules. It's the easiest and most common way for them to make friends or connections unless they have someone to introduce them.

I'm sure some have friendships but just don't post about them a lot, that may be the cause

Tldr:they do end of thread boom done. Long answer they do go out and look at the groups and you will see it poke your head out of that bubble and see the wider world

I had no idea about all those other ethnicity friendship/selfies you mentioned either.

Sakura, Mashiro and Tsuki recently hung out, although that was for Sakura's YT show Fearless Kura.

Twices J Line is the royalty of Japanese idols in Korea they aren’t gonna just hang out with anyone.
