NewJeans is a perfect example of quality over quantity

It's amazing to see everyday how you think this group is popular cause of their music. It's fascinating but also very scary.
-
If they had only six songs in like 2 years then this statement makes sense but six songs in six months is definitely quantity as well.
-
They debuted yesterday…ofc the quantity is less
-
All of NewJeans songs are wonderfully made and I'm glad thier team is treating every song with such care. They only have 6 songs but they have MV's for all of them and all of them could be title tracks for any other group. I'm glad ADOR is putting so much effort into the music.

Do you have trouble with reading comprehension? No where in the op did op say anything about the reason nj is popular but you pulled that out of your arse and made a completely irrelevant and false claim op never said
But to humour your obsession with the reason behind nj’s fame, there are obviously multiple factors contributing to nj’s popularity, not only 1 factor. But to consistently insist nj’s music isn’t one of them is a new level of self delusion and wishful thinking yet to be reached

i mean, the omg album was a single album. if they'd released another mini or even a full album they'd have double the tracks. i think thats what op was referring to
-
Can u list the groups that are the example of quantity over quality?

Now that you mentioned it ...... that's 1 song every month that's actually a lot of quantity
-

Not Blackpink.
Blackpink is Scarcity > everything
-
-

your response makes no sense nor does it negate what I said.
-

I think it’s a normal amount. But feels even more than other groups because 5 of those were promoted singles. Idk NJ definitely isn’t the example i thought anyone would use for quality over quantity. It would be better to say they are the example of quantity with quality.
-
I like how their release rollout makes you appreciate every single song
-
-
Not really, i mean yes most of their songs are good (still not all of them great) but it is not like they debuted 2 years ago and only have 6 songs, they have a normal amount of songs for the period they've been active
-
I didnt enjoy cookie or hurt much but the other tracks are almost tt wortyhy
-
Indeed. All their songs are haunting and beautiful.
-
"quality over quantity" is just a fancy way of saying "not enough songs"
Why settle for one when you can have both?
-
-
Since we've gotten to the point of naming groups...
Um, New Jeans has as many songs as the number of months they've debuted. I really don't think this statement applies cause they have BOTH.
IVE has a less song percentage by debut date, so this argument is better made for them, though I still don't think they'd be an example of this either - they also have BOTH.
And seeing as I love Le Sserafim's disco, gotta say they have BOTH too.
-
-

they didn't release as many songs in two comebacks as they COULD have bc one release was a mini album and one was a single album. thats less songs than releasing two mini albums or full albums. its not rocket science. and no one was trying to "negate" what you said.
-
They just debuted, you can't talk about quantity.
But they do have quality, that's for sure.
-
-
It's amazing to see everyday how you think this group is popular cause of their music. It's fascinating but also very scary.
How are they not popular, in part, because of their music?
It's certainly one of the top drivers.
Personally their specific songs have been central to why I love them.
Their 90s R&B and simplicity in pop song making, along with their whole performance vibe, choreo and aesthetic is absolutely the primary reason I'm in to them.
I've been waiting for a group to get back to this kind of music in kpop for a long time.
-
AllI can say is... Hype Boy and Attention are of another level bop..
It's almost addictive.
-
Attention is amazing, but the rest of their songs are average and forgettable
-
they debuted with four songs thats not quantity? should they have released 20 songs?
-
Idk why you’re responding with nonsense that has no relevance to what I said. 6 songs in 6 months is lot making the title weird. “But six is less 20 and they could have released 20 songs that’s what the OP meant” is such a stupid irrelevant response. Stop wasting my time.
-
-
Meh, I don't like any of their songs.
-
-
I think op wanted this to be an appreciation thread
-
-
I think NJ have a good amount of songs for a 6 month old rookie.
But I'm glad to hear many enjoy their music!
-
Lol..
Well At least they have attention to hold that so called quality up.
-

what crawled up your ass and died? i was just trying to say what i thought the ops point was. get over yourself.
-
I like this group, they have good songs
-
Anyways
-
I think op wanted this to be an appreciation thread
the problem is the inherent negative connotation in the title of the thread as if any group that isnt nj are just prioritizing quantity instead of quality. Also atp they have more releases than other rookie ggs had at the same period of time so the "over quantity" part doesnt even make sense
-
I disagree OP, I genuinely think they have both quantity and quality atm, by that I mean their songs get to number one, stay at number one, or just hang out in the top 10 for entire seasons
Peak so long it looks like a plateau
